anyone else tired of hearing about "balance"
I'm so sick of hearing Bushco (and their lackeys in the media) going on and on about how Kerry didn't try to "balance" the ticket when he chose Edwards. Is Bush/Cheney a balanced ticket? Two members of the lunatic raging right? Those two make up the most unbalanced ticket I've ever seen....

...psyche jobs on the public. Like "sound science" and "fair and balanced" reporting, the terminology was used for decades to dupe the public about how cigarettes and other products nightmares weren't proven to harm public health.

The word has an innate but very false appeal when attached to any misrepresentation. It is usually connected to fraudulent reports of one kind or another. Factual content speaks for itself and doesn't have to identify itself as fair or balanced. It is for the observer of the object to decide what is fair not the subject.

Unhitched from humanistic perspective and judgement, in accordance with "fair and balanced" analysis there were many "good things" about the Nazis. No matter could be weighed as being compellingly wicked or repugnant. If so, the observer was skewed by "unbalanced" reporting and self indulgent liberal or progressive views characteristic of effete intellectuals and _________________ fill in the blank.

3. The fact that Bushco even deems it appropriate to comment on the Dem...
ocratic ticket is an indication that they are on the defensive. Why aren't they
trumpeting their own ticket, not to mention their own plans for the second
term they are asking the American people to give them?

As for the media, cheney 'em. They are a bunch of overpaid idiots who
have nothing to do with real journalism. That they imagine themselves to
be capable of intelligent criticism of politics in this country is ludicrous.

4. I tire of press "balance"; there aren't two sides to every issue --
sometimes there's corruption, lying, clearly destructive policies, etc. Yet every discussion on TV, for example. has to have a balancer spewing Republican talking points. Maybe the only thing I agree with Bush on is that sometimes things are black-and-white, right-and-wrong.
