Democratic Convention Party

I signed up to host a party for the Democratic Convention acceptance speech. This is my first official event and I'm soooo excited. I live in the middle of some of the most closed minded Republicans and the people that have responded so far are so ready to meet other Democrats and take action!!! Yeah!!!

It sounds pretty straight forward what I need to do, but since this is my first event, does anyone have any recommendations or suggestions?

1. Is it a Moveon party?

If so, they give you lots of tips and suggestions.

2. Play Democrat games, for example

1) Pin the tail on the donkey
2) play cards using the "Bush Regime" deck
3)um, that's all I can think of.....

I also recommend:
Playing Dixie Chick music
Having people where name tags
Having Kerry policy papers and merchandise ready for distribution
A list where people can gather contact imformation to stay in touch, and for the Kerry campaign to contact them
