Dean will speak in primetime to the Democratic National Convention. |
|
On Tuesday night next week, Governor Dean will speak in primetime to the Democratic National Convention in Boston. And immediately after his speech he will be talking to you.
The Governor is scheduled to speak on Tuesday night. Immediately after his remarks to a packed house at the Fleet Center and Americans watching at home, he will speak directly to Democracy for America supporters.
After you watch the speech, head straight for your computer and democracyforamerica.com.
You will be able to listen live on our web site as the Governor makes special remarks to supporters and takes questions from Dean Dozen candidates and grassroots leaders on a nationwide conference call.

4. Networks aren't broadcasting Tuesday night -- coincidence? |
|
Bill Clinton's speech (and probably Hillary's) will be shown by the networks on Monday. John Edward's speech (and introductions) will be shown by the networks on Wednesday. And Kerry's acceptance speech will be shown by the networks on Thursday.

It's no big suprise the networks won't cover it, though. Remember Ted Koppel back in 1996? He left the Republican convention early because, as he said, "there's no news here to cover".
The national conventions these days are a sham, and the press knows it. It's also a rating snooze-fest, which is what the networks base their "infotainment" coverage on, anyway. Too bad for us, though, because democracy (when it happens) can be a beautiful thing.
