07/22/04 Race Neck and Neck
Edited on Thu Jul-22-04 02:40 PM by damkira
In the week preceding John Kerry’s official nomination at the Democratic Convention (search) in Boston, the presidential race remains deadlocked with support for Republican George W. Bush and Kerry split down the middle, according to the latest FOX News Poll.

President Bush’s job performance rating is below the key 50 percent mark, although among Republican voters his ratings are sky-high.

In the two-way presidential matchup, the poll finds Bush and Kerry both at 44 percent. When independent candidate Ralph Nader is included, he receives four percent, Bush 43 percent and Kerry 42 percent. The new results are clearly well within the poll’s margin of error, as has been the case in almost all FOX News poll presidential matchups for more than three months.

Since it's a faux news poll, you probably have to add 5 points to Kerry's total and subtract 5 from *'s and 3 from Nadir's...

2. I'm still convinced: Kerry Landslide
I hate to admit it, but I might just have to watch Faux News on the evening of 11/2 when Brit Hume has to announced Kerry's win.

9. You want some fun, go to freeperville when Bush loses
When they were convinced Gore won it was almost as if they all were willing to take Kool Aid from Jim Jones. Maybe Jim Rob will have a little Kool Aid recipe of his own for his knuckle draggers.

5. This is great FOX News - has it even ! Kerry wins Values battle
On the 'all important' values issue (that the repukes are trying to run on since they suck at everything else) - "when asked which party’s ticket “better shares the values of average Americans,” the Democratic Kerry-Edwards ticket has a narrow four-percentage point lead."

Kerry gaining on that other 'all important' issue: who is more likeabale? (aka which Pres would I rather drink a beer with) - "Kerry is making gains here. Two months ago, Bush had a wide 19-point lead and today there is only a five-point gap between the candidates on which one is more likeable."

If this is the best FOX can spin their own poll I think we got a chance!

8. Wait, why is Fox doing this?
If we accept that Fox has their thumb on the scale vis-a-vis poll results, then why would they be conceding a Kerry lead like this, especially on "values"? To maintain credibil-no, no, that can't be it...

7. OMG
I had not even thought of the pleasure of watching FOX announce a Kerry win. Or even better, a Kerry landslide. Must calm down....this possibility is going to my head.
