1. interesting thing is this was scheduled before Kerry picked Edwards as vp |
|
i saw a preview for it on tv guide some months ago and they described the special as being about our possible future first and second ladies.
what time zone is this ? because i live in the west coast and it's not on here.

I think that they profiled several wives of Dem. Candidates and when Edwards was picked they massaged the script to put more of Elizabeth Edwards on. She came across as very smart and what my mom used to call a "trooper" -- someone who rolls with the punches. Ms. Kerry came across as very cosmopolitan, earthy, intelligent, and sophisticated. I also liked how she talked about the type of feminist she is; that is, she belives in the ERA, pay equity, etc., but she is not "angry" at men. I am more convinced than ever that Kerry-Edwards is going to win.

4. yeah, i saw it they were great |
|
both teresa and elizabeth are very warm and caring with children. i loved the part with teresa at that center with the young boys and the picture she took with all of them around her. notice how she is able to speak to anyone so easily. no matter their age or background.
and elizabeth edwards is a great mother. emma claire was acting silly and being a bit "naughty" but rather than just laugh it off her mother kept trying to teach her that type of behavior is not acceptable. it shows what a great mother she is.

8. you know in the way the Edwards are a relatively old couple with young kid |
|
kids- that reminds me a lot of my own family. Me and my brother like Wade and Cate Edwards were born within a few months of each other and in 2001 my other brother was born, its not as big a distance and I know Elizabeth had fertility treatments well she is like 10 years older than my mom but still, I kinda identify a little like that. I am sure those kids are ahead of the others their age because their parents are experienced, after all my 3 year old brother is already potty trained. Teresa and Elizabeth are two really classy women, like and admire them a lot.

6. Elizabeth Edwards shines in this presention- she is such as asset- |
|
Bill Maher on CNN Larry King last night talked about how John Edwards has a candid open way of answering questions that is so refreshing. The same can be said for Elizabeth Edwards. The extensive informal camera coverage following her around on the campaign gave a very favorable impression. She is an outstanding representative for 'ordinary' mainstream Americans. Anyone watching this show has to realize how ridiculous the RW smear campaign is in trying to paint Edwards as an out of touch liberal extremist.
The segment showing Teresa Kerry talking with the group of young school boys was wonderful. They really connected with her and wanted to get as close as possible to her after she enthralled them asking them questions and talking to them about Africa.

for seeming "average" in a very positive way, while maintaining their integrity completely. It is amazing.
I thought THK also came across very well.
Once again, an embarassment of riches...

3. It was EDT. I hope they'll show it again when you can see it. |
|
I could do without the Georgetown housewifey comments from Sally Quinn however. I thought she spoiled the show.

7. I would have liked to see more candid camera and much less SallyQuinn |
|
too. I thought Sally Quinn's remarks were a waste of time and not insightful.
