Betty Castor wants to investigate Jeb's Elections Office
U.S. Senate candidate Betty Castor joined with several prominent African-American elected officials today and urged the U.S. Department of Justice to investigate possible civil rights violations against African-Americans who were purged from voter rolls in Florida. The purge could have denied eligible voters mostly African-Americans their right to vote in the November elections.

In a letter to Attorney General John Ashcroft, Castor and State Representative Curtis Richardson (D-Tallahassee), State Representative Arthenia Joyner (D-Tampa), Commissioner Daisy Lynum (D-Orlando) and State Representative Audrey Gibson (D-Jacksonville) supported the request for a Justice Department investigation made earlier this week by the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights.

2. Ashcroft investigating Jeb's Election Office will be just like
the 9-11 commission knowing "that on the morning of September 11, 2001, the president and the other top officials in charge of the systems to defend the country from attack were, in essence, missing in action",and that "in some cases they did not even get involved in discussions about the attacks until after all of the hijacked planes had crashed." as stated in Gail Sheheey's article, "Who's in charge here?"

It will be akin to knowing that, and knowing that no one has done anything about it,not even the 9-11 commission which could "have shown conclusively that blame for failing to defend against the attacks goes all the way to the top."

So too, with AZZCROFT's investigation of JEBBIE'S SELECTION DEPT.

I do admire Betty Castor and the rest for urging the U.S. Dept. of Justice under John Ashcroft to investigate JEBBIE and his bookie Dept. of Selections -- but, sorry to say, under AZZCROFT, JEBBIE AND HIS BOOKIES get the upper hand and justice gets the shaft.
