Understand one thing: The stupid polls do not factor in Undecideds! |
|
Oh sure...they'll have undecideds included in part of the poll but the polls you see touted on MSNBC, AP, etc, do not factor the important undecided voter in... So I say F the Polls that you see bandied about...

We're the ones who have to get out there and get voters to the polls. I was looking at the Oregon election site and they list how many voters of each party are registred each month. There's more Dems than Pubs, by a good number. 8% more, it seems like. If we vote, we win. I'll look and see how many states I can find that info for and post it this week. That way we'll know how much work we have to do, where.

3. Any rational analysis shows that JK is leading this race |
|
this could all change in an instant but we are in much beter shape right now than we were 4 years ago. The framework is there for Bush to be rejected. It is question of whether JK is viewed as a reasonable alterantive and whether events on the ground dictate the outcome.

4. What about cell phone users? |
|
Someone posted here the other day saying that pollsters don't contact people who only use cell phones and don't have a land line. Many of my younger friends fall into this category, some vote, and they are definitely a more left leaning crowd.

9. Well, I guess it depends on whether they think they are better off now |

or four years ago.
I think people who are working three jobs to make ends meet would be equally hard to reach and unlikely to be sampled by pollsters as well.

of someone, anyone, who voted for Gore, and is now going to vote for Bush??? And how many of us know people who voted for Bush, who will not do so this time??? The polls are full of crap. Their sole purpose is to get us to keep watching the endless TV shows that offer nothing but idiots, I mean experts, analyzing to death.

12. One or two people call in to C-SPAN every morning who say |
|
they voted for Gore and/or Clinton but will be voting for Bush this time because . . . blah, blah, blah.
They never sound believable to me. Usually it's some reason like "I don't like these vicious attacks on our president" or something like that.
Like that's a reason to vote for or against a candidate.

13. You could be right, but I have been worrying |

for some time that too much negatavism might cause a backlash. During the Clinton empeachment, the rethugs were winning on a day by day basis....and the Big Dog's numbers just kept going up. At some point americans "fairness" kicks in, and they can shift into an "underdog" mode. I just hope that doesn't happen.

It always looks bad to hit a guy when he can't hit back. Better to put the smackdown on Bush in the debates, if for no other reaqson than to see that dumbass realize he's been clowned to HIS FACE!

the Right Wing out vicious-es us by a wide margin.
We'd have to call Bush a lot more than "stupid and incompetent" to ever catch up with the RW.
