Ohio Poll: Bush, Kerry nearly even in Dispatch poll (Bush 47%, Kerry 44%)
Edited on Mon Jul-26-04 02:09 PM by TheStateChief
COLUMBUS, Ohio - Millions of dollars worth of TV ads and multiple visits to the state have done little to change voters' minds about President Bush or John Kerry, according to a poll published Sunday by The Columbus Dispatch.

The poll showed Bush at 47 percent, Kerry at 44 percent and Ralph Nader at 2 percent. In a poll the newspaper conducted in April, Bush was supported by 45 percent of those responding, with Kerry at 43 percent and Nader at 3 percent.

1. How long does it take
for an organization like the Columbus Dispatch to tabulate the results of their poll. The reason I ask is that just this month, on July 14, I got a poll questionaire from the Columbus Dispatch regarding the upcoming election. I wonder if my answers were a part of the published results or if they will be announced at a later time. Also, how can you even consider a 3 month old poll as being relevant?

2. 3 Months Old?
"The Dispatch's mail survey of 3,047 randomly selected registered Ohio voters who said they plan to vote Nov. 2 was conducted from July 14 through Friday (July 23)."

3. My mistake,
I misread the 2nd paragraph of your post. Please disregard the 3 month old remark.
