Jimmy spoke of Ike and Truman who served their country in the military, like Carter and Kennedy did, too. Carter went on to mention that those that know the true horrors of war, wouldn't send soldiers off to fight in a "war of choice". Ouch.

He "broke a sacred covenant between the President and the people."
