This is a great, well orchestrated, feel-good convention. The speeches have been right on.

Dump the talking heads and just enjoy. Hearing them just ruins the experience.

18. Franken vs Hannity was good today ...

Something tells me that Hannity actually BELIEVES his lies. That or he just knows his schtick really well.

6. I posted on another thread, without CSPAN, you are missing the
quotes from "America Remembers" and those are GREAT! I also like the faces of republicans who are voting for Kerry and the reasons why they are!

CSPAN beats CNN hands down! You get a much better feel for the excitement! No dumbass pundits to drag you down!

8. It's about the speeches.............don't let a talking head try to
interpret it. CSPAN is great....all of the speakers have been outstanding, especially Carter!

10. PBS was great
when they interviewed Carter after the speech.

He got a chance to twist the knife a little. Didn't back down ONE BIT!:D

12. C-SPAN is the way to go
I tried watching PBS, but the audio coming out of my local affiliate sounds like a very bad MP3.

I turned on CNN for 60 seconds and it seemed like Candy was trying to do damage control on the Carter speech.

15. YES!!!!
I did this, too. It really gives a feel for the convention, and you get to hear everyone. The four best speakers were, in order (IMO):
1) Bill Clinton
2) Jimmy Carter
3) Al Gore
4) Rev. What's-his-name, Kerry's crewmate.

17. Thank the Great Spirit for CSPAN
Watching it off the net. They are doing what the networks shamefully are not doing.

Even MacNeil keeps cutting off the speakers and other features in the convention. Whudda these dickoid talking heads get in booty, cash and backslapping to blab on when they should shut the hell up and listen...

19. You're right!!
I tried checking in with a few networks to see what they had to say about the convention, but all it did was piss me off. I went back to C-SPAN and stayed there the rest of the night, making it a relaxing, happy experience!

22. Two things that just played on C-SPAN
that weren't covered on MSNBC or CNN:

1. An African American Reverand who came right out and spoke about Bush's "lies and deceits" and finished by saying we need to "send that Cowboy back to Crawford."

2. Dick Gephardt's speech. Incredibly, Tweety and Oberman were still yakking and squawking about Ted Kennedy's words instead of giving any coverage to Gephardt. At least on C-SPAN, you got to see what a crashing bore Gephardt still is and thank our lucky stars Kerry picked Edwards over Gephardt.
