Well, that's the first thing I thought of when I saw the photo. Actually, it's the second -- my first thought is that he just looked silly. Honestly, his staff really ought to do a better job of preventing their candidate from looking foolish. One of Kerry's best attributes is that he looks presidential -- at least when he's not dressed up like a giant condom.

and as ridiculous as that photo looks, I think the right-wingers will have a problem pulling a "Dukakis" on Kerry simply because Kerry is 6'4". It's all about perception, and when Bush and Kerry finally meet to debate, everyone is going to see Kerry towering over Bush. Who's going to look like the silly, little man then?

Dukakis, on the other hand, was really short. I don't know his exact height, but I had the pleasure of meeting him once, and I at 5'11" was quite a bit taller than him. That photo of Kerry is nothing compared to putting a tiny man in a big-ass helmet in a giant tank.

The fact is, I HAVE said positive things about Kerry. I said he made a smart decision in rejecting federal funds for the primary. I said he made a smart decision in picking John Edwards as his running mate. He's made some smart decisions during the campaign.

But, sad to say, he's made a few dumb moves too. And when Kerry screws up, I'm certainly not going to lie about it, or delude myself, into believing otherwise.

And frankly, what I've said about Kerry isn't half as bad as the things the left-wing soclialist pacifists around here are saying about him.
