Poll question: Which network has the least whore-ific convention coverage?
Edited on Tue Jul-27-04 03:59 PM by LoZoccolo
I don't have cable and it seems they're on a whole different level of whore-ificness anyways, and I'd like you all to help me and others decide which of the networks has the coverage least tainted by disingenuous right-wing talking points.

On edit: added PBS.

1. wouldn't know
every time I flipped from C-Span to a network, they didn't have the convention on, so I quit trying.

2. You forgot the two important ones:

PBS and CSPAN.

Actually, I did hear one of the 'analysts' on Fox say last night that Clinton delivered a great speech, though. That caught me a bit off guard.

3. Isn't PBS showing the convention?
You might have better luck there.

I've been watching C-SPAN.
From what I understand, some of the networks have cut away from the personal stories and testimonies from people via satellite -- you know, information that will help the voters get to know John Kerry -- to ask the talking heads why so many people don't know a lot about John Kerry yet.

6. PBS wasn't as bad as it could have been
the execrable David Brooks was there, but Lehrer kind of pulled a fast one on him with Jimmy Carter. Brooks ended up looking really foolish.

7. CSPAN, they are doing something revolutionary.
They are just showing what is happening & not telling you what you should think, feel & believe about it.

10. True!
I tried a few other networks, and evertime I swiched there were "experts" analyzing this and predicting that -- I turned back to C-SPAN and never left.

11. C-SPAN would have my vote.
I'm sure PBS is good, too, but I didn't check it out last night.

13. PBS was disappointing
Whoever their lead hack was, was taking potshots at Carter especially, and Gore to a lesser extent.

Damn, I wish I had cable !! :(

15. C-SPAN's the only one to watch
All the other channels interrupt the convention coverage with their despicable right-wing bobblehead babble. Right now I'd say Tweety's coverage from MSNBC is by far the worst. CNN and FOX aren't far behind.

But if you want to see uninterrupted genuine coverage, watch C-SPAN.

(I haven't bothered to check out CBS, ABC or NBC).
