12. I don't think that disqualifies her for vice presidency. |
|
She just couldn't be in line for succession. Of course, with her being 82 by 2020, she probably wouldn't want to run anyway.

The "natural born" provision in the Constitution should be repealed. It is even more archaic than the Electoral College.
Of course, this would mean that people like Democratic Governor Granholm and Republican Arnold would become eligible for the Presidency, but so what?

6. I just heard that Chris Heinz is going to challenge Rick Santorum |
|
and reclaim his father's Senate seat in 2006. That would be one race in which I would totally support the defeat of that homophobic puke.
Heinz for U.S. Senate!

17. Chris Heinz has been very active in Kerry's campaign |
|
I don't think he is about to rejoin the party of darkness.
Santorum is as far from the late Senator Heinz as Darth Vader is from Luke Skywalker.

15. a kumquat could run against Santorum |
|
and I can assure you I'd drive to Pennyslvania every weekend to help get rid of Santorum in 2006.
But I was just thinking about that last night - Heinz is from Pennsylvania and Rick is in his dad's seat. Wouldn't that be fitting. The Heinz are very popular in the state.

18. Yep, I was living in PA when Heinz died |
|
And I remember the repukes trying to convince Teresa to run in her husband's seat. At the time Casey (a dem) was governor, so he put a democrat in John's old seat. The first repuke to try and win that seat was former governor Dick Thornburg and I was shocked that Wofford was able to hold on to the seat. But 1994 was that ghastly 'Contract with America' which repukes ran Rick Sanitarium! Teresa refused to endorse Rick mainly because Teresa's late husband was a moderate republican like PA's other senator Arlen Spector.
