OK, so I'm home for a couple of hours...
and can absorb some convention stuff before I hit the road again.

Last night I managed to catch Jimmy and Big Dawg on the way back from DC. Got the WHYY signal from northern Maryland to South Jersey, and NPR is a great way to listen to the convention. Very little talking head nonsense interfering. Tonight, I had time to set the VCR to PBS and tape the whole thing. Did catch some of Kennedy, Obama, and Teresa on NPR while out.

Screw cable news. It's useless and a waste of time with all these assholes interviewing each other. PBS and NPR had the whole thing from 8PM till whenever with minimal commentary, and what they had was reasonable.

Anyway, I am impressed. Carter and Clinton were amazing. The Big Dawg was smokin! Haven't heard anything like that since Cuomo and Richards gave the keynotes. And Carter remains one of the greatest ex-Presidents we've ever had.

Obama be da MAN! I want this guy to run for President first chance he gets.

Teresa is unquestionably the perfect woman. A superior life form.

Yeah, conventions now are scripted and no fun at all. No fourteen ballots or platform fights. No tension and no doubt who will win the nomination. The only David making wry, bemused comments is Letterman. So, it has been decided for us that we don't have to really watch them.

And that is terrible. The Democrats look good so far this week, real good.

And hardly anyone saw them.
