3. I was never a Mellencamp fan
until I heard his latest album. He does a revised version of Guthrie's "To Washington" that rips the White House monkey a new one. And the rest of the songs are terrific covers of old blues standards. I quite frankly didn't know Mr. Hurt So Good had it in him.

But John's one of us, so he could sing like Froggy the Gremlin and I wouldn't care. Fortunately, he IS quite talented.
