So after a day of Obama supporters calling for unity...
...we're back to yet another typical "Hillary is racist/desperate/delusional/sickening etc." day.

That didn't last long, did it?

Instead of "SERENITY NOW!" it's "UNITY NOW!"

Has about the same effect.

31. Many of them won't sad to say
primaries are always the nastiest fights, just ask the republicans. Hell hath no fury like a sibling rivalry. That fight will be about issues, with a clear line separating the candidates. This one is about personality. Plus, they won't be able to fight it out on anonymous message boards. there are good solid policy reasons to oppose mccain, ones we all agree on. When's the last time you read a post about either candidate's policies?

It is hard to believe the division created on this site. And the lack of civility is just draining.

Sadly it goes beyond the candidates. Anyone supporting a rival candidate is "the enemy" and also open to attack. Winning is everything. Principles are out the window if they get in the way of winnning.

Because she knows the Party does not want the division of going all the way to the Convention before it is settled. Rumors abound about paying off her personal debt as well as her campaign debt. Is it just a cynical ploy to raise more money from her supporters before she officially drops out? At what point is there diminishing returns?

Please, show me ONE TIME when you've bothered to say anything to anyone posting such racist bullshit.

Otherwise, spare us the myopia of ONLY seeing what you want to.

79. I have defended Obama many times in the past
from assholes.

But there's no denying that this board is caught in a downward spiral of hate and lies. It's getting worse each day. But you're right in the middle of it, so I don't expect you to notice.

82. Yes, you accused me of being a shameless liar earlier,
then wouldn't respond when I asked you to defend your take on those comments.

And now you seem to be accusing me of being part of a "downward spiral of hate and lies" when all it REALLY is is a reaction to the GUTTER tactics she's CONTINUING to employ DESPITE being pretty much out of the race.

Forget it. No point trying to reason with someone who makes accusations and won't defend them...

there are a LOT of clinton-bashing threads here. It's hard to keep up with all of them.

59. I agree, Hillary just can't stop lying.
Have you heard the latest?

"I personally did not think it made any difference whether my name was on the ballot. You know, It's clear this election they are having is not going to count for anything." - Hillary , before she realized she needed MI

"I have consistently said that the votes cast in Florida and Michigan in January should be counted." - Hillary, now that she thinks she needs MI

I would love for someone to show me a quote prior to MI where she says the votes cast should be counted.

84. And Obama wants 59 delegates
from an election he didn't run in.

But we're talking about the vicious spiral of lies and hate going on here today. It's worse than FreeRepublic ever was - you guys have gone positively rabid.

93. But, as it may pain you to see, that isn't a lie.
Obama may be asking for something unfair, as Hillary is, but he isn't lying about it like Hillary. Do you live in MI? I do, and I know what the candidates were saying about us right before our primary. The Clintons didn't give a FUCK.

I asked you before and you didn't answer... by "you guys" do you mean "people who use to vote for, send money to and defend the Clintons but are tired of their lies?" That is certainly me. Or by "you guys" do you mean "people who used to support Richardson, Biden and then Edwards, but realize that Obama is going to be our nominee and would like to see him beat McCain?" That's me too.

46. There was no ceasefire!
Look...I think every Obama supporter wants this over and wants to welcome Hillary back - though a lot of us will never really trust her again.

But she's back on the campaign so the fight carries on.

If she wants to end the battle, it will end. If she doesn't, that's fine too.

66. How does an entire campaign of low-road distraction politics...
suddenly turn into Hillary being the victim?

Have I stepped into some sort of Clinton twilight zone where they can have it both ways? Where she can say that John McCain and Hillary "bring a lifetime of experience" to the table and Obama has nothing but a "speech", but then SHE is the one being "unfairly attacked"?

The funny thing is Obama has been very measured and low-key in his responses to her direct attacks. I think you are seeing the backlash from his supporters because they are tired of Hillary's tactics which are not at all based on real issues, just distractions from them. Not to mention out and out lies saying he has a "lack of experience", which is utter B.S..

playing the victim, and teaching others how to do it.

But we didn't expect her to continue with the gutter tactics.

Guess that "naive" insult hurled at us so often fits for me today.

*sigh*

on edit: I'm one of the ones who thinks it's her call, and that people should stop with the threads about why she should quit, just for the record.

If the Obamites play chess, I'll bet they're not very good. They obviously don't think very far ahead.
