Declares War on DUBYA(Frank Luntz focus group liked speech)

July 30, 2004 -- BOSTON - At the biggest moment of his political life, Democrat John Kerry last night painted President Bush as a war-monger who doesn't tell the truth and misled America into war.
"Saying there are weapons of mass destruction in Iraq doesn't make it so. Saying we can fight a war on the cheap doesn't make it so. And proclaiming mission accomplished certainly doesn't make it so," Kerry said to roars and loud applause.

"As president, I will restore trust and credibility to the White House," Kerry told the Democratic National Convention as he accepted the presidential nomination with slashing attacks on the man he hopes to replace in the Oval Office.

"I will be a commander-in-chief who will never mislead us into war . . . I will bring back this nation's time-honored tradition: The United States of America never goes to war because we want to, we only do to war because we have to."

Speaking sternly, he vowed to start "by telling the truth to the American people." <snip>
