Bush's rationale today for why he should be returned to the White House..
Edited on Fri Jul-30-04 11:47 AM by flpoljunkie
so Laura Bush will be the first lady for four more years.

Is that all you got? Not good enough! And I resent the not so subtle slap at THK!

Neither is the tired old class warfare mantra "raise your taxes!" No, Dubya, raise the taxes of those making over $200,000. Kerry will reduce the taxes of the middle class, but Bush will never acknowledge that.

With Zogby's latest poll showing that Kerry/Edwards have pulled ahead with white men, if only by 1%, reckon there might be a bit of flop sweat at the RNC today!

3. Has Pickles done anything
while in the WH other than sit around smoking and being dragged out for photo ops every so often? I didn't think so. She's a total non-entity and the repukes seem to like it that way.

Most of the women who've been in her position have tried to make some sort of positive contribution. Hillary worked on health care and human rights issues. Nancy Reagan made "just say no" famous -- ridiculous, true. But at least she was trying to take up a cause. Rosalyn Carter championed mental health. Betty Ford made her own health problems a springboard for action. Even Bab's Bush made an effort to try to project the image of herself as a grandmotherly type who touted "family values" -- bullshit, of course.

The last WH wife who was as much a doormat as Pickles was poor Pat Nixon - who did a lot of suffering in silence.
