Am I the only one who thinks Cleland gave the most powerful speech? |
|
No disrespect for Kerry, but I thought Cleland's speech really had a more powerful emotional impact. As I listened, I kept asking myself -- how the HELL did this guy manage to lose to Saxby Chambliss?

2. I don't think Cleland's speech was more powerful than Kerry's |
|
but it was the best speech of the night aside from Kerry's...and I LOVED how direct he was in acknowledging the dirty tricks played on him...he managed to lose because of good ole group think.

3. I thought Cleland's speech was great but Kerry was the star. |
|
Cleland did a great service yesterday, he did a great job setting the stage for Kerry.
Kerry was the most powerful speech because this man WILL be our President.

That was the name of a file in an easily accessed Diebold company web site. I know, I accessed it myself. It contained mostly code.
At the time that file appeared, there was a last minute "patch" delivered to every Diebold voting machine in Georgia.
Cleland was leading in all the polls, despite a truly filthy campaign run by his opponent, Saxby Chambliss (Sackless to those who know him).
Sackless won.
Now, somebody with a suspicious mind might put all this stuff together and come up angry. We on the left never do that, do we?
I mean, that file could have been created by a guy named Rob who was only trying to make the machines more secure and accurate.
Sure.

8. The Georgia results are |
|
simply not believable. Cleland and Dem. Gov. Barnes "lost" by almost identical 6% margins, while Dem candidates for Lt. Gov., Atty. General, and Sec. of State all won handily.
"Rob Georgia" was carefully crafted to affect only the Senate and Gov. Races. Cleland and Barnes were both defrauded.

6. The reason he lost to Saxby Chambliss... |
|
was because the repukes spent LOTS of money and had people campaigning against Max sayinghe was UNPATRIOTIC. That is how low down the gopers are and stupid some people are to believe them. I don't understand it at all. :kick:

7. He didn't lose - the election was rigged by Diebold |
|
These slimy bastards don't even bother trying to cover up their dirty tricks. Saxby Chambliss isn't fit to speak Max Cleland's name. My native state (Georgia) has gone straight down the toilet. I used to be so PROUD to be a Georgian; now I never mention it.

9. No, I thought Max Cleland was incredible |

I also think he would have been a hell of a candidate for VP.

10. Great Speech by Cleland, Dolstein. Still, Kerry's Took The Night. |
|
Max Cleland, by any standard, delivered a great speech.
