|
Edited on Sat Jul-31-04 12:22 PM by TexasSissy
From Abraham Lincoln to George W. Bush, no Republican has been elected president without carrying Ohio.
Ohio (20 E.V.)
Poll Date Bush Kerry Nader Undec. Leading
Zogby 7/23/04 48 47 1 ? Bush +1 Zogby 7/10/04 48 49 -- ? Kerry +1 Rasm. 7/9/04 46 42 -- 7 Bush +4 ARG 6/24/04 43 49 2 6 Kerry +6 Rasm. 6/2/04 46 42 ? ? Bush +4 ARG 5/13/04 42 49 ? ? Kerry +7 Gallup 5/1/04 51 46 ? ? Bush +5 Rasm. 3/16/04 41 45 n/a 6 Kerry +4
Note: In 2000 Bush won OH 50% to Gore's 46%
Just because a Republican candidate wins Ohio, it doesn't mean he is going to win the election. But Yikes! Kerry's lead in Ohio is eroding. I would feel better if Ohio would lean toward Kerry.

has Kerry up by 2, 47-45. I also think a Gallup poll done about that time has Kerry up 5 or 6.

3. Thanks. Here are those exact numbers. |
|
7/23/04 ARG poll Bush - 45 Kerry - 47 Nader - 3 Und. - 5 LEAD KERRY +2
7/26/04 Gallup Bush - 45 Kerry - 51 LEAD KERRY +6
(However, the Gallup poll does not include Nader, which would alter the numbers somewhat. The ARG poll DOES include Nader, though.)
This is good news, all in all!
