I apologize to Hillary Supporters
Yesterday I was really upset and I called Hillary some horrible things. I called her a bitch and said I actually I hated her. That was wrong and it is not true. I don't hate Hillary and I don't think she is a bitch. She is a tough competitor and in the heat of the moment, feelings can get out of whack. I apologize to her supporters because I know it must be hard for many of them right now. I see my reaction to her remarks as overblown. I feel sorry for the heat she has taken. I don't believe she purposefully wants him dead and I sort of alluded to that yesterday. Now that the anger has passed, I feel sorry for her. :( I still think she should get out of the race, but that's another matter.

I know how bad I felt when others on here were railing against Obama when he made gaffes, so I wouldn't want anyone else to feel that way. What she said was horrible, but I don't think she actually meant bodily harm to befall Obama. I don't want to think she actually means that. I will give her the benefit of the doubt on this because for whatever reasons she may still be in this race, I understand that being President is something she truly wants and believes will be a monumental advancement for women. And her candidacy is truly groundbreaking and I don't wish to see that diminished. She has done a lot of good, but she has also been on the wrong side a lot as well. We are all human beings. I respect her as a person, even though I disagree with her on her IWR, Kyl-Lieberman vote, her statements that many see as racially divisive, her campaign tactics, and her embracing of several questionable figures on the right. But I still must respect her candidacy as something that is groundbreaking. I don't want to see Hillary Clinton ruined. I just don't want as president.

So I apologize for calling her a bitch and saying that I hate her.

and when that happens, I know I'm in the wrong. So I had to apologize. :hi:

2. That's NOT how one apologizes.
You are supposed to say "If my words offended anyone, I regret it" or "I hope my words will not be taken by some in a context that I did not mean."

10. thanks! Now let's heal our party and unite to win in November
how I do hope that our grand old party can re-unite, heal the rift that has widened so much so that finally, we will begin to see light at the end of a very long, dark tunnel of Bush rule.

I'm literally praying for the Democratic party to heal itself now because the Republican strategists just said this am on Faux News, that they see a big win for McSame in November due to the big split in our party. My God, things like that can make a grown woman weep.

11. When I heard her comments yesterday I immediately felt fear
We all know there are loony toons out there that don't need much encouragement to do weird things. It is my gut reaction that you don't mention assassination at all when it comes to politicians and leaders. Our country is so broken now by bush that an assassination would be devastating for so many reasons, unthinkable really.

We all want a Dem running this country and we certainly have our favorites here on DU. The masses don't seem to take it to the extreme we vent here. During our bush era we have had to eat all the crap the media sold us on the war, our rights, etc., and we are truly pisses and sometimes vent here to at least express our anxieties. Hateful talk is not helpful and I try real hard to be nice, ha....

I did not call her that, and I don't hate her. I posted A LOT last night and I am sure I offended a few. But I will not apologize for calling Hillary and her supporters out on their poisonous campaign.

I will gladly admit that there are Obama supporters who have done the same. And I will gladly admit that I have had my low moments. But the request was made for unity and Hillary violated my trust. Won't happen again.

27. I agree that I think it was a campaign tactic...a talking point
but I just don't think she actually wants him dead. I hope to God that isn't the case because then that would mean that Hillary Clinton is really a sick person who needs help. That would make me sad. I think her remarks were disgusting. It shows a lack of empathy and judgment on her part. Her repeated comments crystallize just why she should not be president. My apology is for my own behavior in response to hers. I should not have acted the way I did. It does not attempt to excuse her behavior. She was wrong. She needs to get out of the race. But I can see how my statements could have hurt or offended her supporters, who are probably already hurting. I do believe that her statement was intended, and we can all speculate about her motives or her true intent. I think she was floating it out there as an "what if", but she simply lacks the ability to see how something like that would be hurtful and harmful. It's sort of like a person with no conscience... a person so self-absorbed they can't see past their own nose. That's what she is. She really, really, really wants to be president and she is reaching for anything to get there. It's quite sad.

I'm curious who it will be. I don't think it will be Bill. He's too high on his own supply.

35. Someone who cares about her really needs to step in and tell her the honest to god truth
She has a bunch of nutjobs around her who are more interested in their own rise to power and what they can GET if she were president. They feed off of each other, her desire for power and to achieve the "impossible dream" and their desire to benefit from that achievement. It is selfish and mutually beneficial arrangement. It is sick. I don't think even her own husband will tell her. Who will? I don't know. Maybe this is a test for her to see just how strong she really is. Can she rely on herself? Can she believe in her own opinions instead of the opinions of others that have been poll tested and ran through three focus groups? She has absolutely no chance now, so will she be strong enough to admit that to herself because no one else will.

Her comments are a green flag to a nutcase, which there are many out there.

Nutcases have taken less outright cues to put wheels in motion. ( See John John Hinckley and Mark David Chapman)

What Hillary did was very dangerous and inexcusable.

Clinton said nothing NOTHING that comes close to suggesting ANYTHING about Obama and assassination.
The type of people that are twisting this, are those of you who want more CRAP to attack Clinton with, and so you will twist (as you have done the whole fuc*ing campaign) anything and everything she says to make it be something you can use to justify your hate.

And wow, you have gone so far beyond hate I am amazed. You are actually accusing Clinton of suggesting that she wants / or dreams / or is waiting/ for Obama to be assassinated. When I think DU can not get any crazier, you guys top it.

This time, you have gone too far.

To consider this a sign or green flag to go kill Obama is....more vitriol from the DU thugs. Sociopaths don't need green flags. Sociopaths will do what they want NO MATTER WHAT YOU SAY.

Why would she mention an assassination as defense of her continuing on? What purpose does that serve in the slightest, except to plant that idea into people's minds?

As far sociopaths go, I've given you three examples of assassins who acted on a cue. To say that doesn't matter is just denying facts.

As an Obama supporter, I have to admit that I hope this will hasten her exit from the race. I don't wish her to be shunned and marginalized
forever though. I think she's a great Senator and I hope she can recover emotionally and physically from this grueling campaign! She has really
pushed herself and I think that may be part of the reason she has lost perspective in some of her comments of late.

Yep, that's just what Hillary said when she thought those voices wouldn't matter.

I still can't decide whether or not you buy your own outrageous bullshit.

I'd be more than happy to half the delegation seated, which is an appropriate penalty and allows them to participate. The "elections" that took place were still ridiculous jokes, but if that's a compromise that at least gives bite to the idea that rule breaking carries consequences and minimizes the impact of bogus results, fine.

But she won't need a single busload of "supporters" to accomplish that. She just wants to continue to drag everyone else down into her world of failure.

I feel the same way about Obama.

I wonder why now it's creating such a stir, if she said something similar before. It's almost like a clarion call went out to the blogosphere that NOW is the time to pounce upon the remark and thrash it for all its worth. *sigh*

Anyway, this too shall pass, and I commend you for looking back with remorse about your remarks. It's too easy to hide behind a shield of anonymity on DU and pretend that what we say doesn't matter. 49. No apologies were needed. If Hillary can't take the heat for her own words...
then she needs to get out of the kitchen. Also, there is a clear sexist double standard at work here. It's okay to attack the guy, he should be strong enough to take it but when it comes to attacking the female...well, she's a delicate flower and that's just unacceptable. Equality is equality. Either play the game by the rules or go home. I've never heard of a Clinton supporter apologizing for the outlandish actions and lies that either they or others have launched against Obama and many of them have placed Hillary over the party. Hillary Clinton is ruining herself and it is unfair NOT to place responsibility where it lies.

51. I feel about her exactly the way you felt yesterday, and I do NOT apologize for it.
Furthermore, I am absolutely convinced that her remark was simply an aloud airing of her fondest wish.

I'll pick up your slack from yesterday: she is a bitch, and I actually hate her. I don't even want her in the Senate anymore.

By the way, if I needed a final straw to feel this way (trust me, I didn't), it was her "The Kennedys have been much on my mind in the last days because of Senator Kennedy..." - she seriously fucks up, and hides behind the brain cancer of a great American like a fucking coward in an effort to save a failing campaign?

She is the most reprehensible politician (and most reprehensible bitch) I can think of right now. I want to see her completely ruined and out of politics forever.

Hopefully, not even her laughably fake tears can save her this time. What a fucking bitch.

barking dogs are still in full throat and charging hard to kill the fox. Simply amazing.

For the most part, as many of us are aware, these dogs take their cues from other sites then pounce here and there across the net to spread their latest Freeper-like talking points.

They are currently playing 'good guy/bad guy' with this board. Who benefits? Why Obama of course. He is above the fray but obviously enjoys seeing the pack baying at the moon with all the things that he can't say.

Nice game plan. However, half a party won't do the job. Keep that in mind.

However, if he manages to avoid the assassination that Hillary seems (to me, anyway) to want and gets the nomination, I seriously doubt that so many Hillbots will run to McStain that Obama will lose.

Hillary deserves every barking dog bite she gets. My deepest desire right now is for her to go the fuck away. Forever. I wouldn't even want her on a Texas town council.
