I don't know why so many are acting outraged and surprised- |
|
I think on some deep level we all pretty much knew HRC would take this to Denver, AND- That is her right. Is it the thing to do to support the Dem party? No, not even close. But, it IS her right to do so.
Do I want HRC to bow out and support the Nominee, yes- yes I do. However, I'm not personally offended that her and Ickes are talking about Denver (If the links in other posts here are to be believed) I'm not outraged or angry, just very deeply disappointed.
I'm disappointed because some time back I left a terrible party and changed my beliefs, I took stock of my life and my reasons for wanting what I did for my children. I found things I could bring to the core of who I was, and envelope them in my life and family.
I was disenchanted with the part of the Government I supported, over the course of the last few years and this season I became enchanted again. I wasn't "Lost" in my beliefs anymore.
I'm disappointed because I want us all to come together and show enthusiasm for the Dem nominee, and with the possibility that it may go to Denver we can't do that. I'm disappointed, but not angry with HRC.
So in summary, I suppose all I want to say is sure- be disappointed but please don't try to deny people their rights, even if it's not the "Right" thing to do.

1. Was Bill misquoted when he said they would accept the decision? |
|
Of course it is also her right to lie and deceive I guess.

15. Actually, I wouldn't mind having her on the ticket if her diehards would step back in.... |
|
...but it remains to be seen whether that would do more harm than good.

5. It'll just be her and Ickes |
|
Maybe Wolfson, if she can still afford him by August. Schumer, Rangel, Bayh, and all the rest will be working with Obama towards defeating John McCain.
But then, they have a scope of vision that encompasses more than an internet messageboard.

Not only did she ruin her chances of being VP, but she's ruined her chances of ever running for dog catcher in Chelsea Massachusetts. Ba-BYE Hillary Hope you enjoy being irrelevant.

7. Boy, I wish I could feel as you do about this. |
|
But when several SENIOR Dems come out and say that this is dividing our party, what becomes of that party that you now belong to?
Yes she has the right. But this is about more than her right - it's about the future of our country. For us, for your children.
If McCain gets the WH, I fear America as we knew it will be lost.

10. Voicing disagreement is not the same as "denying" anyone their rights. |
|
I think EVERY Democrat of conscience needs to speak out as to what they believe is best for the party's over all well-being, and our chances to win in Nov. ... not just default to and bow down to Hillary and her screaming rude supporters.

|
and it was the Justice's "right" to rule any way they wanted to - but don't anybody get mad.

When did people become so afraid of righteous anger.

20. That's what makes it more shameful |
|
She keeps giving her supporters false hope and she has obviously whipped some of them into a complete frenzy. These people in all likelihood won't vote for Obama, few as they are, and she has caused this. Inexcusable for someone who claims she wants party unity when this is decided.
