I'm proud of being a Democrat today, and am glad Sen. Obama urged supporters to stay away. |
|
and not become confrontational with the Hillary screamers. This again demonstrates to me how Obama is a highly effective leader who rises above the dust-ups with rare dignity and grace -- unlike another candidate who's name is Hillary, who's apparently willing to sacrifice the Party to her own selfish ambitions.
ON balance I think this has been a great day for the Party, and for democracy, and for moving beyond the MI and FL pissing matches.
I can't wait until Weds. when hopefully this nightmare will be over and we can focus on defeating McBuah.

I had my doubts while it was going on, but they did an excellent job in the end.

4. Now that I think of it, it's an excellent example of his kind of "non-confrontational" leadership. |
|
that stays focused on matters of substance, that states it's position clearly without bullying, whining or playing victim, that refuses to engage in petty self-serving publicity pranks. It's so damn refreshing after 8 years of Bush to have this kind of candidate, esp. when Clinton doesn't seem to offer a clear departure from such tactics.

8. this is how politics USED to look when Tip ONeill and Republican counterparts |
|
could freely chat and exchange ideas and it wasn't all red state/blue state or even further divisive into middle aged white women and "all the rest".
It's very refreshing.

5. It was a brilliant move on Obama's part. |
|
The Clinton supporters made complete asses out of themselves. Definitely a class move to stay away from that.
