Congressman Wexler was a total Dem rockstar!
Smart, passionate, great control of facts, refused to be boxed in by others' agendas.

GREAT, GREAT job

1. I've always liked him
I have sent letters to my congressman before asking him to shake Wexler's hand on my behalf.

2. Rockstars?
Some of us have higher standards.

Political rockstars don't do health care reform or get us out of Iraq. They just pose for the cameras.

11. Higher standards
Health care reform and jobs have always been the issues I've held in greater importance than any candidate.

Someone has to be the grownup and advance a policy agenda.

22. Hmm, seems to me both of those concerns have been pretty thoroughly covered
by Obama and his ideas for them. Then, you'd know this if you took the time to listen to him and not just regurgitate talking points like a republican parrot.

That kind of policy?

27. No, we need FIGHTERS, not rock stars!
The sort of fighters who get us INTO Iraq, defend Bush, deny they defended Bush, then call their anti-war opponent a liar.

They fight bravely and steadfastly against their own party. Others? Not so much.

Huzzah for fighters!

28. Not unlike the inarticulate State Sen. Joyner, who was full of platitudes,
and short on the facts. You people need to get over it. You made a powerplay, and were summarily smacked down. I think party unity was the recurring theme of the day, despite Ickes, and DU should follow suit.

17. My respect for Wexler seems to grow by the week.
I loved his exchange with Iches when he'd just devestated the guy, and Iches at first started to respond, but then cut-away to
him stammering for a response, then just gave up and motioned to go on to next speaker, but Wexler pipped up and asked, "Did
Mr. Iches have a response?" ... that was a classic moment worth of many YouTube views in the weeks to come.

30. Wexler started the fight, and Sen. Levin delivered the knockout punch
to Ickes. "You're talking about a fair reflection of a flawed primary", or something like that. Mr. Ickes came off looking like the jerk he is.

Both are passionately concerned for doing right by their constituents. Ickes is just a Clinton hack.
