Friedrich Nietzsche: "That which does not kill us makes us stronger" |
|
Does this apply to the Democratic Primaries this year? Could the result be a stronger party? A stronger candidate? If not right now, maybe by November?

1. lol! We're just fine. There's absolutely no need for Nietzschean histrionics... |

especially from those who just know catch-phrases.

I first thought this primary fight would destroy the Democratic Party. Now, I think it may elect Barack Obama president. Why is voter registration spiking upward? Why are new demographic groups registering in droves? Because (and I hesitate to say this) what happens on television is what happens in America.
Remember the Sammy Sosa/Mark McGuire homerun race? Same thing. When's the last time you saw a story about John McCain lead on the national news?
People like a fight. People like a debate. And, in the end, people LOVE a winner.
And by the way, the Republicans are going to nominate a lousy, beatable candidate.

9. Nietzsche never had polio. And that's what Clinton is in this metaphor. |
|
If she doesn't give it up next week, she's going to fuck this whole party up even more.

has annoyed me for years. That which does not kill us can also leave us maimed and ruined for life.
