I lived in the Ozarks for 15 years of my life. Near Springfield MO. It is a wonderful place to live, the people are by and large friendly and laid back. I now live in VA. I notice that a lot of so called progressives who live in the North forget about their progressiveness when they stereotype the Ozarks and the South. Much easier intellectually to live in stereotyped images than to face reality.

I don't particularly agree with the poster you stereotype, but your prejudice and state of being ill-informed about the Ozark region and its people writes volumes....
