Poll question: So, What Happens Now???
Alright.. so Hillary "won" 28 delegates today. She's still way to far behind to do anything with them, so what happens? Sure, she waits out the last 3 primaries... but then what happens?

2. I'd like to think you're correct..
but she seems to have an unlimited bank account.. and no problems dipping into it.

She just seems to be the candidate that won't die.. as soon as we think she really WILL have to drop out now, something else pops up to keep her going. Just like a psychotic energizer bunny IMO.

Sorry - normally i'm not this mean, but it's been a long day of CNN and high humidity. ;)

3. Other: Hillary gets "YOUR Girl" tattooed on her forehead, follows Obama around wearing...
...a chicken suit, daring him to debate her. Forces Chelsea to dress as a chick hatching from an egg to thematically match.

:bluebox: Attempts to hold entire Democratic party between now and the convention with Ickes or Hillary regularly attempting to crash live shots for "Good Morning America" every other day or so.

:bluebox: Three days before the convention, begins bringing around life-size cutout of Barack Obama and makes "ker-POW!" sounds while pointing at it. Shouts "WHAT?!?" when people begin to boo her.

:bluebox: Occasionally leashes the cardboard cutout and strikes Lyndie England poses.

:bluebox: Near midnight the day after the convention finishes, holds a press conference in her chicken suit, now shit-stained and torn. Describes herself as "Always a candidate of unity but also a victim of horrible sexism". Goes on to describe how "leaving the race now will avoid any further hardship for the party, my wonderful supporters, and the Democratic party which I have always worked to strengthen."

Ok, it won't be that bad. But not by much.

9. "Shit-stained and torn" chicken suit!
It's fun being a political junkie but it can be draining.

5. The Superdelegates saw enough of the Hillary Clinton Circus today.
They will move this week. Probably a big chunk of them Monday and Tuesday, the rest by the end of the week.
Hillary will concede on Wednesday morning, because it will be made clear to her that there are no alternatives.

6. Other: HRC and her boosters throw a fit at the convention (we saw a preview of that today), but in
the end the convention awards Obama the nomination. The next day Clinton is in court trying to sue her way to the nomination.

Now, she'll know full well that she won't win those court battles, but that's not the point of them. The point is to weaken the Democratic Party in general and Senator Obama in particular with the fervent hope that McCain wins this fall.

That done, it'll be time to get started on the 2012 Democratic primary campaign...

11. Crap.. over 1/2 of us really think she's going to take this shit to the convention..
I realize that DU is not reality, but it sucks to think that half of us really think she's going to take this into August in Denver. I guess we think that based on:

A) Her campaign up to this point
B) The fact that she doesn't seem to care about party unity AT ALL
C) Howard Icky's comments today in DC about "reserving the right to take this to the committee"

C is really the one that jumps out at me...

I just hope that at this point enough "party elders" can step in and influence the Super Delegates to do what is right.

12. I'm sstill willing to take her at her word. #2
She said that if Obama is the nominee, she will "campaign her heart out" for him.

He should be the nominee by the end of the week. I'm trusting that Clinton will do as she says.
