LOL...

Besides my Penguins blowing game 4 against the Red Wings, that is....

Seriously... did *ANYTHING* that happened today surprise anyone? This is what we were expecting all week..... half the delegates....

... and frankly, it was MORE than generous to Clinton. She got to count two states that SHE AGREED would not count. Harold Ickes, who VOTED TO SANCTION Florida and Michigan with 100% penalties last year is a disingenuous hypocrit.

Today was as good as an outcome as the Clinton people could have ever hoped for in their wildest dreams. And frankly, much more than they deserved.

Let them gnash their teeth. Nothing happened today that changed anything.... and we all knew that BEFORE today happened.

2. Another nail in the HRC coffin.
And if we play our cards wrong, the final nail in the coffin of the Democratic Party.

Repent and reunite!

9. I'm enjoying watching the Red Wings. Great defense and goalie.

They've been really excellent around the net and in the net with Osgood. I like GOOD hockey ... I was 'trained' as a fan watching Gordie Howe play at Olympia. (It just doesn't get any better.)

17. The Wings are good, no argument there.
I just wish the Pens were a little bit better.

18. They're young. They've got the bench and the energy, but ...
Edited on Sun Jun-01-08 01:18 AM by TahitiNut
... they don't have the mental discipline (and "sixth sense") that comes from experience. I watch hockey for the "choreography" ... how the WHOLE team moves relative to one another. That what I saw in the "Miracle On Ice" 1980 Olympic team. That's what I used to watch as a kid at Olympia. The Red Wings have it sporadically ... and particularly on defense. They could do better, I think.

5. Folks were bussed in from California, New York and Florida
and told to make some noise. They did. It didn't help. It may, in fact, be hurting.

NeoCon Anti-Choice McCain got a kick out of that one.

7. Big win for the Obama campaign and the deomocratic party
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=6206559&mesg_id=6206559

Bottom line is that Obama's magic number went from 41 to 64 - the smallest increase that was estimated.

The Florida proposal was a unanimous vote and there was some disagreement with the Michigan proposal but it passed big with some 'Clinton' supporters agreeing to it.

Nomination finished by Wednesday.

And Obama resigned his membership from the Trinty Church in Chicago.

12. This has absolutely nothing to do with your OP, but...
...just wanted to say I was in your fair city a few weeks back for a chess tournament (stayed at the Hampton Inn right next to the Allegheny river in downtown Pittsburgh - a Seagate office complex was right next to it), and enjoyed every minute of it. Got to watch the Pirates take on the Braves, ate a number of excellent restaurants, and enjoyed more than a few of the clubs in "the Strip" as well as some in a nearby suburb (forgot the name of the 'burb).

Great people, good food, and a very hospitable city: you should be proud.

The Clintons are no longer in control of the party. THAT was the really big news!
