Does anyone have a copy of the Michigan resolution? |
|
In response to Ickes, one committee member said the resolution did not give delegates to Obama despite not being on the ballot...yet it's being repoted that the resolution did give him delegates. I would guess the resolution didn't (de jure) give him delegates, but that the reality of the situation (de facto) is that they'll end up going to him. Can anyone address this issue?

1. The Michigan compromise was put together by 4 independent |
|
well established Michigan Democrats that compromised the numbers requested by Clinton 75 43? and Obama 64 each and instead agreed on 69 Clinton 59 Obama.

4. But the member's response to Ickes was that the resolution didn't give Obama delegates. |
|
Unless I misunderstood something. Does anyone have a clip of that part?

8. They why did the member respond that they weren't designated for Obama? |
|
And everyone else cheered when he pointed out that it was propaganda to say they were designated for Obama...I wish I could find a clip so I could re-watch that part.

Clinton campaign response
Today’s results are a victory for the people of Florida who will have a voice in selecting our Party’s nominee and will see its delegates seated at our party’s convention. The decision by the Rules and Bylaws Committee honors the votes that were cast by the people of Florida and allocates the delegates accordingly.
We strongly object to the Committee’s decision to undercut its own rules in seating Michigan’s delegates without reflecting the votes of the people of Michigan.
The Committee awarded to Senator Obama not only the delegates won by Uncommitted, but four of the delegates won by Senator Clinton. This decision violates the bedrock principles of our democracy and our Party.
We reserve the right to challenge this decision before the Credentials Committee and appeal for a fair allocation of Michigan’s delegates that actually reflect the votes as they were cast.

7. 69-59 split diluted by 1/2 vote each, 1/2 superdelegate votes, and Obama oversees slate. |
