Poll question: a quick historical comparison of Hill and Barack on two issues
RELIGIOUS ISSUES:
- - - - -
Hill's Team actions on Barack's religion:

After finding out that his kindergarden records were not playing well with the unwashed masses, they decided to call him a muslim, accuse him of attending a muslim religious school, and finally sent operatives to stalk the Trinity Church, getting all materials possible for the sole purpose of attacking Barack. They compressed 26 yrs of sermons into a 30 second sound bite, then ruthlessly pressed that as representative of 26 yrs.

Barack's Team actions on Hillary's insane cult group inside Washington DC:

- - - - -
SUPPORTER BEHAVIOR:
- - - - -
Hillary's team behavior at the Rules Committee:
There are at least two videos now on ewetube portraying the truly vicious quality that some of her supporters have.
On her staff, I think no one better exemplifies the vile lies that people are paid to spew on her behalf any better than Harold Ickes.

Barack's Team behavior at the Rules Committee:
NO riots. No organized protests, no attacks on anyone.
Congr. Wexler probably exemplifies just who makes up the Obama campaign.

the differences could not be more pronounced.
Best move yet? Hillary attacks Barack because a radical priest, Pflegler, decided to open his trap and spew.
Barack's response? I cannot allow people to contact shut ins, those in need, to stalk the current pastor, to stalk church goers, and to attack the church. I cannot have that on my heart, therefore I resign from Trinity.

Who has the classiest campaign staff?

1. Joe Biden, hands down
I met them. They are his family. Every one of them are just downright nice people.

In politics nice guys finish last.

2. I see him as our next Sec State.
and our nation would be far better off for it, either him or Richardson.

5. read a blurb yesterday
that Obama said he admire's Lincoln's including his former competitors in the cabinet - that he is thinking of Edwards as AG and Biden as Sec State.

I wrote quite a while ago that as it had become apparent, for good or not, that Obama was going to win the nomination, that as long as he formed a team of the brightest and best, including many of those who had been on the stage in the early debates, plus a few others who had declined to participate (Gore, Feingold...) the country was in good hands. If Obama can be the beacon of hope that gets the Dems in power, maybe we can rekindle the days of Camelot. Lord knows that era died in Dallas Nov. 22, 1963. It has been almost 45 years - long, ugly, years, with precious few glimmers of hope.

A failing of Carter was bringing in his Georgia Mafia; Clinton did much the same. I don't know who Obama's close confidants are; I'm sure there are people he has worked with over the years in Chicago/Illinois politics he likes and respects, but that does not qualify them to run the country.
The attitude of running against Washington and then bringing in a bunch of neophytes supposedly to revolutionize things is all well and good, but won't work. Clinton's best move was putting Gore in charge of "streamlining government."

8. very well put.
carter had almost no contacts within DC, and frankly the bloatway looked at this peanut farmer, (ignoring his successful governorship, his running a nuclear sub) and saw an idiot who was out of the loop. It was a reflexive, and understandable, action to hire friends, given the need to have some support while in office.

Lincoln had several advantages. He knew several of his opponents, or knew quite about about them. Dorris' latest book on that chapter of history is a great read. His taking his enemies was not so much to defang them, but to take advantage of their assets.

3. Elizabeth Kucinich, hands down
She and her husband are class acts, and have a handle on the ideas and ideals that will allow us to move safely into the future.

4. actually, having seen several interview of her
you are right.
Dennis suffers under two weighty attributes, the first, a strange last name, and the second, being under 5 feet tall. For some strange reason, US presidents have been far taller than the norm, even some of our worst ones.

His progressive stances have, on occasion, been the lone voice, especially during the recent, deadly and dank Democratic Dark Ages, but it is almost impossible to argue with them, especially in retrospect. Of course, the idea of having a THINKING man, a well read man, a progressive man as the democratic candidate is almost as unthinkable as having a black person get nominated. Oh, wait a sec. I thought I heard something about that recently.

As for his vertical challenge, should he have elevator shoes, they would still need a second story. I say that tongue firmly in cheek, given America's fixation on "tall". Lucky for him, his lovely, smart and really together wife sees past such idiotic reasons to support or not support someone.

Dennis is a gem, and I am glad that his reelection will seem to be a given.

6. Is he really under 5 feet tall?
I knew he was short, but didn't think he was that short.

7. Actually, he's 5' 7", but when he stands next to his wife
he looks like Robert Reich. (note that Bob Reich is only 4' 10", and he too is married to a 6' tall woman).

9. Can't Obama fans start one thread
without blatant lies in it?

Clinton didn't have to send operatives to Trinity to dig up stuff. They SOLD the damned videos on the internet!
