The bright side of Hillary's antics
History has always been written by the victors.

When it comes to the 08 Democratic nomination Obama ended up winning a razor thin victory over an established and well known political figure in Clinton, and the resulting animosity has us all in a tizzy.

But it's almost time for the history of this historic competition to be wrtten and how I see Obama framing goes like this:

Obama was engaged in an epic battle with a legendary and very powerful Democratic candidate, to defeat this candidate he had to have superior strategy, execution, and organization. Even with this Hillary was more than capable fighting to the very end and exhausting every possible avenue towards the nomination. Winning this battle shows beyond a doubt that Obama is a very capable leader able to overcome the stiffest of challenges as Hillary is a far, far, far superior candidate then John McCain. Selecting a cabinet that is inclusive of not only Hillary but also some her top supporters will also show that he is gracious in victory and willing to reach across to rivals to form the very best government possible.

In contrast, MCain will be trying to "sell" a continuation of 4 more years of Bush.

I ptredict that in about 3 weeks after the nomination is finally and clearly settled (this is up to Hillary of course) and if Hillary is accepting of a lesser role than she wanted but an important role nonetheless in the Obama administration, the party will come together, turn their attention on John "3000 page long health history" McCain and the national polls that show mcain with a 3 point edge will quickly flip to Obama with w 10 - 12 point lead.

Let it be written, let it be done.

1. IF Obama Wins The Election
If Obama wins in November, all of Hillary's antics will be forgiven and be no more than a footnote in history. Heck - she'll even claim she helped Obama win by testing him so thoroughly in the primary. Instead of being Rocky, she'll be Rocky's trainer.

However, if McCain wins, Hillary will receive a large portion of the blame for his loss - divided party and all that. It may not be fair, but that would be the sentiment.

6. Now that is tacky
Looks like a cross between the goodyear blimp and a mobile home. Not exactly architecture for the ages.

7. It's supposed to represent building a bridge to the 21st century
Now that we've been in the 21st century for 8 years (or 9 if you count Y2k) it seems we built a bridge to George W. Bush and all his backwardness...I wonder if thats what Bill had in mind.
