Has anyone noticed a distinct lack of diversity in the Hillary protesters?
Seeing pictures of the protesters for Hillary, I was struck by the fact that it seemed like a female version of the GOP crowd. In other words, all white and mostly women (as opposed to the GOP all white and mostly men).

1. Well, after yesterday's performance, don't let the two groups get together...
or we'll end up with a bunch of little assinine protestors. How embarrassing to observe their behavior. Could they have been Rush's Chaos Characters?

3. I keep seeing this comment... almost like people simply cannot believe that
ANY Democrat would act this way. They were Hillary supporters all the way, DINOs, and you can visit the Pro-Clinton websites and even here, and hear firsthand their rhetoric reminiscent of the Rovian GOP.

This splinter group of bitter activists will haunt this party long after Hillary has gone away. The danger is not recognizing them for who they are.

:hi:

5. It's a deceitful attempt to create "distance" from the "bad" members of one's own group....
... the purpose being to avoid the group's obligation to take any responsibility for it.

2. I don't get it either
I am a woman Hillary's age, white, and a former New Yorker.

As I said on another thread, I lived through the 60s and 70s women's movement. It was never about just ANY woman.

The only thing I can say is patience is a virtue. If it could wait 40 years, it can certainly wait another 4, 8, whatever.

Not the "rural white working class voter" who she claims to embrace. Also, wasn't there supposed to be thousands of protesters? I didn't see thousands of anything. And it was a wise move that Obama requested that his supporters not appear to mix it up with that crowd. I think, and this is my own crazy speculation, that the Clinton campaign was counting on "disturbing" press photos of Obama supporters (young persons and people of color) "attacking" the poor helpless white ladies at the protest. :puke:

7. Visit a pro-Hillary site. Most reliable news sources had the crowd at around 500, but Hill ......

bloggers swear it was thousands.

CNN reported that “dozens” of people protested in front of the hotel. According to MAWM the police said the crowd was at least 2500, and they usually vastly underestimate these things (I remember going to the March on Washington for gay rights in 92 and the police discounted about half of us)

Sorry, Obamabots, even rich white women matter. I know, it's hard.

19. Yes they can, but their vote must be equal to everyone elses and not believe their vote is superior.

25. I have always felt diversity was a good thing
I like my President to be supported by a diverse group of people, as our Country is a model of diversity. I don't feel like it's a good idea when one group of people dominate (we have seen how poorly that has gone with the GOP).

18. Some were sent by the teachers union in NYC
I can vouch for that, because a couple of retirees I know personally went in a group organized by the UFT.

11. Jealous that mere women have a voice, hon?
Geez, I'm thinking if the bashing of women continues, some Obama supporters are going to have to rent some other family's basement to live in. :)

Either that or give us some indication that we're wrong about the diversity.

Or not. I really don't give a shit.

24. Let's see if this one helps:
I'm fucking sick of being held hostage by a bunch of estrogen deficient, raging hags. Vote for McCain if you please. I simply don't care anymore about you. If you choose to voluntarily and knowingly destroy this country for all women who follow you -- including your daughters and granddaughters -- go for it.

How's that for unity?

You don't know me or anything about me other than Hillary Clinton was my choice in our primary. Your name calling, poison-filled attitude is sad.

27. I no longer care.

I swallowed my wrath for months during the Clinton spectacle. We've watched the drunken exhibitions, the photo-ops from the back of pickups, the red-faced screeds from Ferraro, Bill's thinly veiled race-baiting, Hillary's changing opinions about rules, filthy commericials, rightwing endorsements. And not a peep of protest from the Hillary clan.

I'm now supposed to give a shit that I'm not kissing your ass softly enough to woo you back to the Democratic Party? Not a chance.

9. I did notice that
But those protestors - well . . .

That's what Democrats do. We protest. We speak.

I just wish they'd been as fervent when they were disenfranchised in 2000. On that note - I think a lot of those people probably voted Bush in 2000 so go figure . . .

My favorite comment for this video:
I'm pretty sure if they used this video instead of the egg and frying pan, that "This is your brain on drugs" campaign would have worked. She needs a jug with XXX on it and hiccup every once in a while (not to mention a straightjacket) to complete her performance of fake outrage paid by Ferraro and Clinton.

They were an embarassment to Hillary, the Democratic party and themselves. They should have been ordered out of the room. I'm not letting the Obama supporters off the hook either. All of that cheering and booing was asinine. Does every public event in America have to resemble a fucking game show?
