Harold Ickes is getting his ass kicked on Meet The Press!!
Looks like a fool. Still says they will win the nomination. Can't really answer the questions he is being asked. Admit they screwed up the campaign and was arrogant.

5. if that true, Timmy shouldn't have gone after Tom Daschle right afterwards
But he asked him pretty tough questions as well. And I'm sorry, Harold Ickes offers up such a steaming pile of hypocrisy that he's a pretty easy target.

8. Oh, gee. Except that the Pugh Research Poll's new study shows that that's not true.
Hillary has gotten more, and more positive, coverage on NBC and MSNBC than on any other network. Time for a new outrage meme!

18. And his big rationale? "Obama willingly took his name off the Michigan ballot."
Edited on Sun Jun-01-08 10:48 AM by Overseas
Said with the glue-on smile. You see, those are just the facts. Obama didn't have to take his name off the ballot. Really quite grotesque. At the RBC meeting he has the checkered shirt -- I'm just a down home kind of guy. MTP he has the business suit -- hey I'm just trying to be sensible here. Quite smarmy.

13. Wolfie didn't question him on a thing. Tossed him softballs and then
just let his BS hang out there unchallenged. It sucked.

11. It occurred to me while watching this that these people are so far out there,
they don't have a clue about how to retract and bring it back down to the realm of credibility. Ickes and McAuliffe, especially, are coming off like candidates for a rubber room.

12. Ickes and his ilk are not paid millions to be rational. They get the last laugh
as they bank the donors' (and the Clintons') money.

17. I just wish Timmy had played a clip of this
Harold Ickes, one of Hillary's representatives on the Rules Committee who voted for the rule barring counting the Michigan and Florida votes, and Hillary's chief negotiator of this issue, was asked recently on one of the Sunday morning political talk shows, "You voted for the Rules Committee decision, but now you are complaining about it. What has changed?" Ickes replied, "What has changed is that now we are behind." So, there it is -- there is not an ounce of principle in the Clinton position. When they thought they were ahead in the presidential race, they supported the rule, but now that they are behind, they don't like it. Wouldn't it be wonderful if the rest of us could act like the Clintons and support rules when they favor us and ignore them when they don't?
