Post for the Clinton supporters, pass it on
6/1/08
Hillary Grassroots Phoners and Supporters:
Another excellent compilation of the disgraceful, dishonorable theft of votes from Hillary, as postulated by the band of criminals called the DNC RBC. Keep in mind, the recipient of the stolen goods simultaneously, at the same hour of this crime, had to resign from his church after 20 years. Team Hillary-What an emotionally draining and infuriating day which will go down in history. Many videos below of shocked devoted Dem's enraged by their own party disenfranchising voters in FL of all places.

Taylor Marsh has written a great passionate note to the DNC. She asks was it all worth 4 delegates. by taking 4 Hillary delegates away and giving them to Obama the RBC has perhaps fatally harmed the party for years to come. And that Hillary has a perfect and legitimate reason to go forward over this act today.

A new poll out shows McCain trusted on EVERY ISSUE-THE ECONOMY, WAR ETC. Obama's disapproval rating is at 53pct. He is not up over McCain on one issue. This is after yrs of Bush guys. "Heaven help us when McCain takes office over the thievery of the DNC RBC"! Keep fighting the good fight. Keep calling SD and MT there will be a backlash over all this with most Democrats and Independents and the new Obama pastor problem. PR polls I think at 3pm cst. Lets watch Hill get a big win there! It is an uphill fight-but this nomination will be won!

This morning Ickes, Wolfson and other Clinton surrogates will be out in force over this major story. Please forward the videos esp to the DNC! They think the majority of registered Democrats will be ignored-but they will find out otherwise!

Ickes expresses outrage and speaks of taking it to Denver-
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYzzyctEVcs

People express outrage at the party, says they are life long Dem's but questions the DNC RBC thievery.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7aKVqCkCLm8

Hillfan from Ca in DC laying it out about how most Dem's now feel. She says we are giving the WH to McCain if Obama is nominated.

Edited on Sun Jun-01-08 09:50 AM by asSEENonTV
Ickes is wrong...dead wrong.

The MI votes were never certified, never counted and represented a flawed election (election is too strong a word to use fir the MI vote.)

12. It was to make up for the 30,000 uncounted write in votes.
Edited on Sun Jun-01-08 10:06 AM by dkf
And really, if someone tells you the primary isn't going to count, then why wouldn't you express your true desire to vote for Obama by writing him in?

I would.

weren't for Edwards or Richardson?

17. Some were, but you are talking MI where there are a whole lot of AAs.
Like I said, if you tell me my vote isn't counting anyway, then I'm writing in my guy. Makes sense to me.

And I do wish they had just counted these ballots. They still could if they wanted to.

30. I wouldn't allow the same body that mistakenly told voters it
"wouldn't count" with apportioning the delegates afterwards, particularly using the excuse that it was flawed because they told everyone it wouldn't count.

This was a horrendous mistake by the RBC. Both before the vote, and the remedy offered.

It plays right into Hillary's hands.

7. Would the four delegates make a difference?
In the end, do the four delegates make the difference between Sen. Clinton leading over Sen. Obama?

Look, I understand that you want your candidate to win. I was terribly disappointed when John Edwards left the race, but I came to terms with it. Senator Clinton is not leading, even with four delegates more or less.

I suppose it would have been preferable (for Sen. Clinton's supporters) to give all of Michigan to her, since she was the only one on the ballot.

25. He and Sen. Edwards took their names off as part of the
agreement not to campaign in MI. It seems like he did so with honorable intent.

So, you're saying that EVERY SINGLE Dem in MI wanted Senator Clinton as the candidate? Wow, I never realized that.

Maybe we need to just give her every vote in every state, just because its her "turn".

Then we can wait until the next member of the Bush/Clinton dynasty is ready, who shall have the monarchy next, Jeb Bush? Chelsea Clinton isn't quite old enough yet, nor are the Bush girls...

Senator Clinton was happy to abide by the rules when it suited her, but now that she's behind, she and her operatives are all for changing the rules retroactively....get rid of caucuses, ignore any votes that are not for her, sow as much discontent as possible and hope for McCain to get into office if she's not the nominee.

I'm just so tired of this. You can't change the rules in mid-game!

27. Actually you're wrong. I don't have a candidate and I assume
Hillary is done.

I saw that arbitrary removal of 4 votes as unfair, I thought it looked bad. I would concede ALL of the Uncommitted to Obama even though surely there were Richardson and Edwards votes in there but taking votes from Hillary was just wrong.

32. We'll just have to disagree then....
I figure in the end, it really doesn't matter or make any substantial difference. Surely not enough of a difference for people to be as outraged about it as they seem to be.

I thought that the committee did what it could in an impossible situation. I certainly don't envy them having to take on this issue, since whatever they did would be criticized by most everyone.

Everyone (myself included, and I'm not terribly fond of Obama or Clinton) needs to take a step back and realize that the only thing that matters is someone with a modicum of common sense being in the White House.

33. I agree with you that if doesn't make any substantial difference,
that's why it was stupid to do it and I do not have respect for the Rules Committee it was partisan on both sides and shameful. Not representative of unity at all. Except for Howard Dean's speech, the rest were like a bunch of squabbling children.

Edited on Sun Jun-01-08 10:15 AM by Seabiscuit
and thought I'd add just a small correction: he didn't speak of "taking it to Denver". He said Hillary Clinton had authorized him to reserve her right to take the issue to the Credentials Committee.

Aside from that, I must say I agree 100% with what Ickes said.
