Poll question: Which group is most responsible for polarizing the Democratic Party?
FYI, I asked which group, not which candidate.

1. Who says the Democratic party is polarized?
The DEMOCRATIC PARTY is in no way, shape or form anything like GD-P.

22. Well one candidate has won more votes from actual voters and the other one acts like he's entitled.
Yeah, it's polarized.

5. What a negative poll
Edited on Sun Jun-01-08 10:06 AM by RiverStone
I doubt this will be relevant for long once we only have ONE nominee. The party will unite when our focus shifts exclusively to McCain. Soon...

8. In terms of just DU, how can it not be the former?
Edited on Sun Jun-01-08 10:10 AM by zlt234
Any objective person would at least say that there are far more Obama supporters than Clinton supporters here. I would also say that there are far more Clinton-hating Obama suporters than Obama-hating Clinton supporters here.

Given the huge discrepancy, it's hard to see how a tiny minority of DU could really rattle a much larger group of people. In reality, the toxic environment (caused at least in part by people who have hated Hillary long before this primary, because she is not liberal enough for them) caused most Hillary supporters to leave, and many of the remaining to harden their feelings against Obama.

9. Coming from a NEUTRAL position,
as a supporter of neither,

THEY ARE BOTH EQUALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DIVISION OF THE PARTY.

Asking that question of Clinton supporters will get you one answer, and Obama supporters will get you another. I expect your poll results will reflect the fact that one candidate has more support at DU than the other.

As a Democrat who is disgusted with both, I don't find either side to be somehow better than the other.

11. I was squarely on the fence until Clinton made her intentions clear.
She is in it for herself and no one else. She -- not her supporters -- is responsible for this.

Why not just poll at an Obama rally?
You're polling a group that is 98% HillHaters on who they hate...
