Why are the high profile Clinton advocates such pieces a crap?
Look at 'em on the Sunday pundit fests - McAuliffe, Wolfson, Ickes, Carville, Penn - all big mouthed, bombastic, overexcited thoroughly unlikeable assholes. She doesn't have a single thoughtful, polite, realistic supporter among those she selects as her representatives.

Obama's reps on the other hand seem to be calm, relaxed, low key, laid back, thoughtful people just like the candidate himself.

Does this tell you anything about who they would select as cabinet members and other advisors if elected?

Does it confirm for you that the party has made the right decision?

22. A good reason NOT to reform the primary process
We get to see the candidates' management skills first-hand. Never would I have imagined that Hillary was such a poor leader. All the name recognition, contacts, and money couldn't buy her this nomination.

9. "There are no assholes," Axelrod responded. "There are going to be no assholes on this campaign."

The Obama campaign maintains a NO Assholes policy. :)

Jim Margolis, Obama’s media consultant, said he had planned to take a pass on the presidential race in 2008. His first candidate, former Virginia Gov. Mark Warner, dropped out, and he had a rocky experience on Kerry’s 2004 campaign. But he ended up on the same plane one day with Axelrod and began to reconsider.

"You gotta come spend a little more time with Barack," Axelrod told him.

"You know what these things are like," Margolis said.

"There are no assholes," Axelrod responded. "There are going to be no assholes on this campaign."

11. Completely agree
I admit that I must have turned off the tv too many times because I didn't recognize who Wolfson and Ickes were - mainly followed them from press releases, news articles, DU, etc.

I saw Ickes frothing at the mouth in the flesh for the first time during that RBC meeting - holy crap what a loser. Same thing I thought when I first heard of Mark Penn's working at counter purposes to his client Clinton, and saw a photo of him. They just look cheap around the edges, kind of lounge lizards. Sleazy is another word for it.

18. It's all about drama. Obama thinks it has no place, Hillary thinks it is the answer
to getting your way. I'm beginning to think that's what the Clinton presidency was all about. You don't answer charges made against you, you engage in some drama to keep the process on edge and then you get your own way.

That only works until the "other side" figures out your game. I've dealt with ppl in my personal life and at work who operate that way. Some cry to get their way, some pout, some back stab etc. They never learn how to change their game to suit the situation and as soon as the smart ppl in the group figure out what they are doing, the counter "punch" and its "game over".

28. Obama Gives Up Before He Loses
On every controversy I can think of Obama has given up. He turns tail and amends his stance.

Wright (two or three times)

Energy Policy (finally voting for Cheney's plan)

Abortion policy wording on his website was changed when a right winger objected to his tough stance.

Voting to fund the war time and time again...even though he continually says he is against the war. His votes prove otherwise.

Leaving His Church of Twenty Years.
And I would imagine, pulling his kids out of the Sunday School they've known since birth which is all of a sudden a bad place...oh yes, he ran from his church because it was getting too much media attention. Funny, JFK didn't run from his church.

Giving up the votes he professed he should get from the Rules Committee.

What does it say about a person if he gives up on every issue you believe in because it's politically expedient, or because he can't stand the heat it would bring? He's not a fighter, which is a very dangerous thing when it comes to the presidency. Presidents need backbone as well as a need to listen to advice.

Just because the Obama supporters on this website have stars in their eyes does not mean this man is a candidate we should bank our future on. I'm very very sorry it has come down to this because I really don't believe Obama has shown enough strength to the populace of the whole of the USA (not to mention the Democratic Party) to win. Yeah, he won a few packed caucuses, but not the states with the most delegates in the GE, and when we get down to the nitty gritty, people are going to take a long, careful look. And the Democrats are going to be in trouble.

All of your insults and bravado from the keyboard will not help him then.

30. You don't listen or read..
anything he says, do you? Repeating talking points is obviously not a winning strategy. It only exposes those that spout them for who they are, and what they are trying to do. The age of the internet has neutralized lying as the means to the end.

36. If we need a "fighter" for president we should elect Muhammad Ali
And BTW, it wasn't Obama who voted for the IWR because he was afraid voting against it would make him look "soft on terror" was it?

It wasn't him that co sponsored an idiotic flag burning amendment just to look "tough" was it?

And was it Obama that voted for the stupid Loserman amendment on Iran?

No it was that ""fighter" Hillary Clinton that did all those things.

And WTF does any of this have to do with Hillary's choice of spokesdouchebags (which was the subject of this OP)?

BTW are you related to Guy LeFleur?

Democratic worker. Let's remember this November we will be pulling/marking a vote for a Democratic president. We are going to win another election so let's be prepared to fight for the winner this time, and not eachother.

have embraced the idea of removing clowns like McAuliffe and Ickes and Penn and Wolfson and Carville and the tactics they represent from having a meaningful roll in the party to make it so. We can all rest easier knowing our party is spoken for by them.
