I've listed as many options as I could think of below. Have at it!

2. It's over - but
not officially. After Tuesday I think we can call it official (once he actually crosses the finish line).

After that Hillary supporters need to decide if they are Dems or Republicans but there should be no more debate about the nomination.

3. How about "Obama will be the nominee by the end of the week"?
It's actually not technically "over". The fat lady has not sung (but she's well into her warmup).

4. At the point at which there's no longer any way Hillary can win, it's over.
We reached that point a long time ago—maybe as far back as super Tuesday. Now that the rules committee has voted, it's WAY over. I mean, if the argument is that the primaries are still going on, then Ron Paul's still in the Republican race, I guess.

10. It's not unreasonable that HRC could hold out until Obama reaches 2118 ...
and I am an ardent Obama supporter.

HOWEVER -- I do NOT want to see Hillary on the ticket (costing Obama votes) but rather another WOMAN without her baggage and negatives, and who NEVER supported the Iraq War Resolution. It's a matter of BOTH principle AND realpolitik in 08.

Also, HRC's CONDUCT of the campaign, such as having people screaming at the DNC meeting, and sowing doubts that clearly cannot but foreseeably harm the Democrats in the GE, as well as the persistent trashing by her supporters, even since May 6 when really HRC's last chances were eliminated -- has been awful. Obama cannot and should not say this during the campaign, but I have been appalled. I understand that politics isn't "nice", but one of the things that Obama has demonstrated during the course of this campaign is that he really has a sense of dignity that over time, has all but disappeared in politics, especially but obviously not ONLY in the GOP.
