This could be the final nail in the coffin of Clinton's campaign: What if
Obama, having heard Ickes moaning and complaining and griping about "4 delegates hijacked from Hillary" (which of course, just isn't the case) came out and said: "I will release 4 of my delegates from Michigan to vote for Senator Clinton."

By doing that, he takes away the only talking point the campaign has left, looks and smells like a rose for doing it, and still wraps up the nomination easily next week.

Any more pushing from the Clinton Campaign after such a gesture would, IMO, destroy what's left of Hillary's credibility.

What do you think?

4. They'll just demand that he release the rest of his MI delegates.
They're trying to sell "Nobody voted for Obama so he should get no delegates".

11. Yeah, but after Icke going on his tirade over "4 delegates"
to give up those four really would make him look a lot more petty and foolish should the campaign try to push for all of them. And, Obama would have the case to make---"I gave you what you asked for, and was complaining about. Just say, "thank you," and go home."

17. And they'll spin that as "See, even Sen. Obama knows he doesn't deserve these electors"...
..."The ruling of the RBC was wrong and even Senator Obama acknowledges it.".

Bad move, IMO

The Clintons will spin it and probably say he is displaying sexism by giving her those delegates.

12. I know what they want, and they aren't goign to get it...
but, right now the talking point is, "they hijacked 4 delegates." Give them those 4, and they have not one argument left to make. Again, pushing for more will just sink their ship that much faster.

7. I think he should have given her everything she was asking for --
and I think he still would have won.

That would lay to rest the "unfairness" cry of her campaign and supporters.

At this point if he gave her the four (which I'm not sure he can -- can he?) it wouldn't be enough. They'd demand something more.

14. And then they'd feed the McStain noise machine talking points about "appeasement"
I think Obama's compromised enough on this.

9. I don't think she has any credibility left to destroy
As far as I'm concerned anyway her political career is over, along with everyone on her team

(even her supporters- in my book have no credibility left)

The Clinton criminals will only demand FOUR MORE DELEGATES.

No more compromise. Hillary is finished. This is done.

13. Why is it always suggested that Obama should
be the one to give? Hillary was already given extra in MI. Also Obama has given up his pastor and his church. Enough is enough already!! He has given up more than he should be expected to.

18. Because he can afford to do it and still get the nomination,
and say that he's made every gesture he could make to heal the division. If the Clinton campaign keeps, after that, trying to tear apart this party, it will be political suicide on her part.
