Timmeh just said that on MSNBC.

Said it;s going to happen that quickly. They'll have let the process played out and paid the respect to Senator Clinton.

3. There will probably be a list of 50 or 60 who will ALL be considered
"the one that put Obama over the top".

Seeing as how so many will endorse at exactly the same time. ;)

24. Chuck Todd: Probably enough before Tuesday to put him about 10 away before MT/SD primaries.
This way he can take a proverbial dump on the GOP convention site with his victory celebration Tuesday night.

4. It'll all be over when Obama takes the podium in St. Paul
He will be well over the top at that time.

5. Pfft. Obama could win the primary, win the election, and make America heaven-on-earth....
Edited on Sun Jun-01-08 01:51 PM by BlooInBloo
and we still wouldn't be allowed to celebrate, since it would be OH SO DISRESPECTFUL to Clinton and her supporters.

EDIT: Typo.

16. Aw, don't be bitter...
Obama won. We can afford to be magnanimous. Don't have to be, of course, but why not? Forget about "them" - let's get the negativity out of OUR system, because it poisons US.

maybe two would would work...

Either that, or it'll spin you around in circles so fast you'll get dizzy and forget to be mad (in the original sense of the word - crazy) enough to vote for McSame.

Worth a shot, no?

:silly: yeah, I'm a little punch drunk myself, why do you ask?

37. consider the party around the ENTIRE WORLD when Obama
is president and nitwit is in jail. (My pipe dream) He's also going to go on a diplomatic turn around the world here shortly, or so the intertubes say. He will get a rock star reception. I will be taping it just to feel that good again.

7. They are crazy if they wait until after. Enough should endorse so that SD and MT voters put Obama
over the top.

That way it's better for everyone in the party.

36. So the 2/3 who have already declared have no respect? I don't think you know anything
about respect, about who does or doesn't respect anyone else, or about why it makes much more sense to allow the voters instead of the supers put the winning candidate over the top.

But that's OK. People say stuff all the time that makes no sense.

They made up their minds after North Carolina and Indiana and have paid no attention at all to the arguments made by team Clinton since.

the SDs need to get resoundingly behind Obama to end the bad taste that should be in every Democrat's mouth.

27. Tweety just had McAuliffe on and asked him the hypothetical question of
"if one candidate (regardless of which one it is) gets to the "magic number", should the one that hasn't reached that number give a concession speech", and McAuliffe said not necessarily.

So if Obama reaches the 2118 number on Tuesday/Wednesday, it may still be up in the air as to whether Clinton will actually concede.

35. Isn't it possible...
That much of this bluster and positioning is happening because there may be a TON of back-room work happening as we speak to these issues? My first post was yesterday, and I laid out that all I really want is the Bush horror show to end as quickly as possible, which means anyone with a functional IQ (read - not Grampy McSame), but I did find the conduct at the Dems' meeting yesterday utterly loathsome. Regardless of all the anger, angst and bitterness on each side, wouldn't it behoove Obama to give Hillary some sort of position (perhaps not even VP) to keep her voters in tow? Honestly, if this is done right, I think the combination of the Obama/Clinton voting blocs would not only send the centrists/swing voters running for that ticket, but would result in a whitewash in the GE on the level of Reagan over Mondale in 1984. McNuts may carry AZ, but that'd be about it. That result would lead to a clear, inarguable and direct mandate for the country as a whole, and sweep these batshit insane, Armageddon-seeking neo-cons under the rug where they belong. I can't imagine there isn't some sort of negotiation happening. Get this monkey poop fight over with and let's get to the real task at hand - sweeping the crazies out of power permanently.
