The hate will end. Hopefully some of you can channel your negative energy towards the real enemies... REPUBLICANS.

DNC's Brazile Says Clinton Camp Refuses Obama 'Olive Branch'

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/06/01/dncs-brazile-says-clinton_n_104553.html

BRAZILE: Look, in 72 hours I'm sure many of us will declare because there's no question that the pressure is on to end this nomination fight. The battle's over. We know the victor. And I learned a great deal sitting in a room, on some of the struggles we did in the middle of the night. Of course, we were drinking fresh water. I kept waiting to see if the Clinton campaign would go over to the Obama campaign or the undeclared superdelegates and cut a deal. And there was no effort whatsoever to come to the undeclared superdelegates. Remember, we're a bunch of superdelegates. The Clinton campaign went in with 13 declared superdelegates. Obama had nine. He walked away yesterday, if you look at the final vote, with 19 people taking his position. He also could have won on a crucial vote on this Michigan proposal to split the delegation 50-50. And rather than cause a ruckus they gave in. He had the votes. and the Clinton campaign never took the olive branch.

All of Clinton's appeal to rural America with none of the drawbacks.

39. The True Change Ticket. He will reinforce Obama's image as authentic, not another political phony.
It will be like a breath of fresh air.

Schweitzer will help to POSITIVELY DEFINE Obama. You can already tell that they are trying to paint him as another ruthless, do anything politician. If he taps Schweitzer, the GOP will NEVER succeed in this attack. This ticket will make straight talk express McCain look like another phony politician.

42. From your keyboard to god's monitor.
...or Obama's monitor.

I agree. He's got great visions of his own, and he'd exponentially increase Obama's appeal among rural voters. He's also so matter-of-factly blunt about everything that he'd make McCain look like a snake oil salesman.

The Democratic party will rise from the ashes of the DLC and will once again become the party of FDR, of JFK, and of Barack Obama, the next greatest President of the United States.

51. "outright dishonesty" I just watched Obama lie in his speech
and not one person commented on it. He gets away with everything.

Clinton demands that the votes be counted and you act like she is the devil.

(his lie: that Clinton ran a dirty campaign, and other than striking back a couple of times, he did not. That is a flat out lie)

18. oh hell NO
that would truly be politics as usual. Unlike Kennedy-Johnson where Johnson brought Texas, Shrillary brings nothing but neagtives. A Dem will win NY anyway.

Do not reward a spoiler. She got enough of a compromise yesterday and couldn't even appreciate that.

She's a liar, a cheater and a spoiler who will do everything possible to undermine Obama. Besides, what the fuck would they do with Bill?!

22. No, the Bush-Clinton-Bush cycle is OVER!
Hillary is too disliked by Obama's supporters, and her appearance on the ticket would discourage them from coming to the polls. That's plainly obvious to anyone who reads this forum.

Obama doesn't need to make such concessions now. He's the winner.

30. I think it's 100% dependent upon Senator Clinton
I think Obama sent a signal to Hillary Clinton with the 59-69 split on Michigan.

He had the votes for a 50-50 split and everybody knew it. Instead, he went with the compromise that was 100% in line with the Michigan Democratic Party in order to win the vote by more than a 2 to 1 margin.

Furthermore, I do not beleive a deal has been struck, only the offer of Secretary of Health and Human Services if she concedes.

The ball is in her court. If she graciously bows out next week, I suspect the odds of her being the Veep will ahve increased dramatically.

I would certainly lose my respect for Barack Obama if he let her on as Vice President. So many people I talk with, mostly women, really dislike Hillary Clinton. She would add nothing to the ticket. I know that she has some really loud supporters, but I doubt that they represent most women.

Remember Ferraro and HER husband's shady dealings? Chickenfeed to Bill's wheelings and dealings.

No more drama - Just Obama and whomever else he may choose.

Hillary is truly needed in the Senate now that Ted is compromised.

If she were VP and in charge of getting the agenda through Congress - forget it - she has tried to work across the aisle - BUT her true nature is intransigence and denial as shown in the Healthcare initiative and in the way she has run this campaign.
