She'll live out her remaining years in well-deserved obscurity with Geraldine Ferraro.

7. The problem with that scenario is Roe v Wade is toast
and she gets blamed in the same way Nader was blamed for 2000.

Both are unfair since a candidate should win on their own merits but a McCain presidency would not help her, it would doom her. She screwed up. 2004 was her year.

58. I don't think so
Even without Barack I don't see the republicans having any kind of meaningful majority in either the senate or house. I really expect a major shift in power with both houses. If people don't vote overwhelmingly for Barack and I think they will you might see a record of voters splitting their vote.

Edited on Sun Jun-01-08 05:14 PM by Ms. November
I don't think I could name a more egotistical, divisive figure in the history of this country. This woman is truly playing a political game that is beyond comprehension. She will refuse to the day Obama is sworn in, to admit she lost, demanding she won the popular vote and demanding she won all the super delegates.

Absolutely mind boggling. I don't even get furious any more, it's just so so pathetic. She will never genuinely or honestly urge her supporters to vote for Barack Obama. She'll be pulling the strings long after Jan. 20, 2009.

What a huge disappointment and unfortunate mess this one woman has made.

40. Well, not so obscure to me
I remember him well, and admired him greatly. Hispassing was sad.

And I think the point here was that her campaign's divisiveness would condemn her to obscurity.

I'm not sure that's the case, though I do think it will stick with her and stain both her legacy and her husband's. But her position will likely save her from obscurity. Not sure that will be a blessing to her, however.

Paul Tsongas was one of the most decent and honorable men ever to serve in Congress. I am extremely offended at your flippant "eh, he died of cancer" bit. I suggest you go and read his booh "Heading Home".

Oh, and for the record, Paul Tsongas win primaries and caucuses in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maine, Utah, Washington, Arizona, Delaware, Maryland and finished ahead of Bill Clinton in Minnesota, Idaho, and Connecticut.

I have written our NY supers and asked them to make a decesion by June 9th, giving them the weekend to mull it over. I don't care if they vote for Hillary. I just want them to get off the pot. If Hillary does not concede after that date and turns this into an ugly fist fight she will find herself with true opposition to her 2012 Senate run.
