I find it sad.
Sad that there are so-called 'Democrats' on here hoping for a damning videotape of the Obama's to exist. Salivating at the potential chaos that would ensue if the video was damaging enough to take down a presidential bid.

The process is almost done. It is impossible for Hillary to catch up to his pledged delegate lead, meaning at this point the only shot at winning for her would be to have the Superdelegates overturn the pledged delegate winner. The first viable African American candidate for President, no less. Do you honestly not believe that would have long term consequences to the party? Do you want to know why many African American districts have advantages when it comes to delegate allocation (such as in Texas)? BECAUSE THEY ARE LOYAL TO THE PARTY, CONSISTENTLY.

I don't care what you say about the nomination not being stolen ("They both need SDs to clinch!"). There will be a clear candidate who has more pledged delegates. The narrative WILL be that it was stolen if he doesn't get it.

Some of you, bitter and full of hatred and spite, clearly do not care for the Democratic party. This is personal to you, and that is sad.

There was a post here earlier today differentiating between true Hillary supporters and 'Hillary supporters'. The latter being those who only support Hillary because they loathe Obama. I think there is a decent portion of the vocal Hillary supporters here who are the latter.

1. Many of us care more about what is good for the country
rather than what is good for the Dem party

7. Then don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out
IF you cannot fall in line behind the nominee, then good riddance to bad rubbish.

20. gaaah
that person basks in some personal idea of being an arbiter of The Way Things Should Be. You're arguing with a turnip here, and I do have to remind myself it's not only silly to attempt a rational discussion with a turnip, it's also kind of tetched. I'm here to rescue you from being seen talking to a turnip.

13. amazing that you don't think you need every vote
your bedside manner sucks ass dude.

Your kind is what's wrong with this party - not to be mean, but I mean the arrogant kind who believe that some democrats votes count less or that ridicule and browbeating is the way to achieve unity.

The "good riddance to bad rubbish" comment? Come on. Why is it that the extremes of both sides are so divisive at the same time they're calling for unity? The fact is Obama gonna need every damn vote in the states he's won, because those states are where white haired old men vote . . . for the white haired old man, and young idealistic people somehow seem to vote less in those states and THAT is a statistical reality. Why then if you believe Obama to be our guy would you run around throwing away votes?

Thank god this is DU and not the real world.

16. I'll tell you what I don't do
I don't bow and scrape on the internet to every poser who plays the victim after a primary. Either you're a Democrat on DemocraticUnderground or you aren't.

If you aren't, then I'm calling you on it. If you are, you will fall in line.

There is no middle ground.

18. sorry dude, I think for myself
. . . and exactly how is it you vill mek me voll in ze line?

Please call away. You do not get to define the democratic party or the extent of its tent any more than I do. It is what it is and that sir is what democracy and party politics really is about. A party and a nominee must earn its constituents votes, and if it can't convert the undecided it must at least not chase away its own supporters.

There is no middle ground in that.

you might want to read the rules and brush up. This site supports the Democratic nominee, regardless.

14. That's what Hillary has been couting on
She's the one that kept believing the superdelegates were going to give her the election no matter what happened with the vote.

23. Oh stop the garbage
The fair solution to Mi was to seat 50/50...that wasnt an election in MI, it was a farce.

The votes were there for 50/50 yet the obama folks opted for a solution that netted Clinton delegates...in fairness.

Donna Brazile states the Clinton backers werent willing to accept any sort of compromise.

It's the Clinton's that are no longer good for the dem party and the country.

28. Many of us think that letting Hillary steal the nom would be bad for both.
She lost and she deserved to lose. Obama ran a smarter, tougher campaign AND played by the rules. He won fair and square, and there's every indication that he'll eviscerate McW in the general. What part of that don't you like?

and for the country. And I believe, at this time, that person is Barrack Obama.

8. I'd have to
work really hard to find an African-American in my area who is a Republican.

About this:
There was a post here earlier today differentiating between true Hillary supporters and 'Hillary supporters'. The latter being those who only support Hillary because they loathe Obama. I think there is a decent portion of the vocal Hillary supporters here who are the latter.

I've been more and more alarmed by the words of a few Hillary supporters I know who aren't on this board. It's like the body snatchers go to them. They aren't the same. And you'd think Obama stabbed their mom on his way to burning down their house, they act so incredibly angry about him. I've always been puzzled about it. But I think in the cases of these people I'm talking about, they're just SO pissed off that Hillary didn't get her shot(coronation) that they can't even see straight over it. It was HERS. She OWNED it. And here comes along this uppity man to snatch it from her, how DARE HE?

It's like that. And it's really disturbing--I've never seen this in them before.
