1. This story, coupled with he brief one time note on CNN yesterday |
|
that McNut spent several hours at the Mayo clinic in Az. but it too was unexplained is certainly puzzeling.

WHOLE day off, rather than still appear at select events (fundraisers) that night? If you're sick, you're sick. I saw him the day after at a presser, and he sounded fine and got all defensive about canceling his events. Sounds like he had a medical appointment somewhere--unplanned and urgent, perhaps?

7. Hmmm....who would replace him? |
|
Who's left in the race? Ron Paul! :)
If he drops out, I'm guessing the Convention gets to just nominate someone...but this is going to be chaos! Obama is going to have a big head start. (It's going to be like the Mondale/Coleman contest when Mondale had to sadly come in at the last minute to replace Paul Wellstone. Mondale really never had a chance!)

like that quiet? Presidential candidates are political animals. That's not a slam, it's just a fact. I can see NO reason why he would have kept a NICE GESTURE quiet. Perhaps I'm too skeptical, but that's one of the things Shrub has bee criticed for NOT DOING! McNut keeping that quiet just doesn't make sense!

under his watch, Walter Reed has become a deplorable, shameful shithole that doesn't hold a candle to the standard of care that should be given to our soldiers, and McNominee McSenile just came out against an incredibly reasonable and justifiable new Vet benefits bill. I wonder how excited veterans would be to see Mr. "Veteran's Rights" guy given all of that and likely more. This way, if he gets ass-slammed, he can spin it as, "I don't even bring the cameras when I visit my wounded brothers."

12. McCain is a Navy veteran, he'd likely be treated at Bethesda IF he had a medical issue. |
|
Perhaps he went to visit wounded soldiers but doesn't want to make political hay out of it or turn it into a media issue. He was, after all, a prisoner of war for six years, so despite his wrongheaded stance on the war and his craven selling out of his principles to Bush and co., he may have personal reasons for not wanting to use something like that for publicity. Which, you know, even though I'd never vote for him and think he'd make a very bad president, I can have a grudging respect for.

what struck me more was that both halperin and jmart seemed to think there was something strange afoot. but maybe that was me projecting.
