My old friend, Larry Johnson, knows about manipulating elections from his training with the Central Intelligence Agency. He doesn't want Obama to win the nomination for whatever reason, and he's in full propaganda mode to do everything he can to frighten the superdelegates. He claims to have a shocking tape of Michelle Obama ranting in some anti-white diatribe. He promises to produce this tape tomorrow at 9am.

From what I understand, it is a tape of Michelle Obama criticizing the Bush administration.

I'm going to be honest with you. Both SusanHu and Larry Johnson have been friends of mine. They have both done a lot for me and I am grateful and indebted to them. Any issues I've had with their activities in this election I have kept private. I haven't visited their site in four months because I found it too personally painful to read what they were writing and I did not want to be tempted to respond. I thought I owed them that. But loyalty can only go so far. If they publish this allegation tomorrow, I will no longer speak with them. And I say that with great sorrow.

This election has ruined a lot of friendships. I have tried hard not to let it ruin mine. But smears of this type are unforgivable. I have been forebearing. Perhaps, in retrospect, I have been too forebearing. That's all I say. This is too painful to me.

I don't know that Johnson actually claims to have the tape and will be the one to release it since I haven't been paying that much attention, although I imagine if it indeed exists it will be featured on his site. I do know he's been flogging that and other stuff from his RW buds for some time. But if it is as BooMan indicates....it would seem they're really scraping the bottom of the barrel in desperation for anything they can attempt to use if that's all they have.

Further Reasons For Skepticism on That Michelle Obama Tape

....But now I find that apparently Booman Tribune was merely paraphrasing another blogger's prediction of what would be on the tape if it ever surfaced. No one claimed to have seen the tape. (That will teach me to put any stock in anything written on a liberal blog.)

Without that, what are we left with? Larry Johnson, a vehemently pro-Hillary and anti-Obama blogger, who in the past was running around telling people Karl Rove was about to be indicted. Republican political consultant Roger Stone, saying he believes it exists. I'm hearing from other reporters that their (secondhand, of course) sources are calling back and adding that they saw Louis Farrakhan on the tape, a detail that they didn't mention before Johnson's update of 9 this morning. Does the presence of Farrakhan seem like a detail that's easy to forget?

If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. But right now I think the evidence suggests this is a hoax, and that we will never see tape of Michelle Obama saying these particular controversial remarks. The timing of this rumor's surfacing is conveniently perfect to scare superdelegates, and the idea that it's in the hands of sinister Republicans explains why fans of Hillary are eager to talk about it but unable to produce it.

Larry Johnson just posted at No Quarter his clarification on the tape. According to his post, "five sources", who have talked to people who have seen the tape, it shows Michelle Obama sitting at a meeting with Louis Farrahkan at TUC, and it is there where she makes her comments. Too many layers, but the image is not good. There are references in his post about this being put on ice until the general election. There is no mention of Cavuto at Fox actually having the tapes.
