Clinton seeks to go after Obama superdelegates
RAPID CITY, S.D. - As Barack Obama turns to concentrate on his general election challenge, his rival Hillary Rodham Clinton is mounting a last ditch campaign to stay relevant in what is left of the Democratic presidential contest.

The former first lady enters this week with an insurgent strategy not only to win over undecided superdelegates but to peel away Obama's support from those party leaders and elected officials who already have committed to back him for the nomination.

"One thing about superdelegates is that they can change their minds," she told reporters aboard her campaign plane Sunday night.

1. LOL. good luck with that, Hill
Other than her shill, Kevin Rodriguez, the switches have all been going FROM Hillary TO Obama.

The Rodriguez double switch was planned to be an example of how Super Delegates can switch.

2. Yes, Senator Clinton, they CAN change their minds.
But the question is, WILL they?

Hillary has every right to make her case to all of the automatic, ex-officio (or so-called "super") unpledged delegates.

This week might be her last chance to do it before Obama reaches the new number (2118) and becomes the nominee.

4. She';s pathetic. The SDs want nothing to do with her or her lousy;
losing campaign. pack it up, hills.

7. And I could dance around in my underpants on my roof singing
"I'm A Little Teapot" and then set said underpants on fire, jump off the roof and run down the street screaming that I am Spongebob Squarepants...

BUT I WON'T because it would be an IDIOTIC thing to do...

just like SD's switching to Hillary at this point.

8. Shrugs...
There's nothing that says she can't ask just as I'm sure Obama has asked the superdelegates who have endorsed Clinton to endorse him instead. I rather doubt they are going to move her way, however. I think they are ready for this to be over and the quickest way for that to happen is for Obama to clinch either on or shorty after Tuesday. I wonder if 25-30 will come out for him today and tomorrow so that the primaries tomorrow put him over the top.

9. She has every right to do that
but they have every right to tell her no. Unless a whole bunch of SD's break for her as well as a bunch that have endorsed Obama either go back to uncommitted or endorse her, this going to be over Tuesday or Wednesday.

10. A futile quest, sure to end in tragedy if she succeeds. Like grasping at the ring of the Nibelung.

(Yes, I know I'm mixing my metaphors. But *YOU* find
an image of the RIng of the Nibelung! And besides,
Tolkien was just lifting from the same old tales
as Wagner anyway! ;) )

11. I wonder if they're still taking her calls?
I'd be "unavailable".

13. I suspect that these calls will be proffers of appointments, jobs, money, pardons, favors...
and all manner of "players to be named later...". If those don't work, there will likely be threats to block something or someone, etc. This will be a time-consuming process to try and find something that can motivate these 700-800 superdelegates. They are, after all, all politicians. So yes, I could see the Clintons working this all the way to August.

14. In her defense, at her age one often wakes up forgetting what's happened recently
She probably forgets that she's lost, and wakes up in a new world every day. "What? I already lost those delegates?"

She's the undead, a zombie!

But seriously, someone get a net and a strait jacket. She's nuts.
