1. There'd then be no point in them being SDs. Their 'job' is to
endorse someone.

5. They might as well vote
Obama is closing in on the finish line. If they want to vote for Hillary, they ought to do so before Obama crosses the finish line. Many of the supers have said that they will endorse after the primaries are over.

6. Dunno
Maybe they can, but i doubt it. Zell Miller refused to endorse Kerry and switched to the other side (while still remaining a Dem), so his super-delegate status was stripped.

7. I wish they'd follow this example.
Why sell out for no reason.

Superdelegates play hardball

Ohio Democratic Rep. Marcy Kaptur, one of the leading protectionists in Congress, said Ohioans have many suggestions on economic and trade issues they hoped the candidates would address.

“We had a general agreement,” Kucinich said of the pact. “We have economic issues that need to be addressed. Ohio has economic issues more urgent than any other state.”

A spokesman for Ryan acknowledged that the Ohioans sent a letter to both Obama and Clinton last week in which they outlined their views about the economy, but he insisted there was no agreement to withhold votes. Ryan himself told Politico: “We want the candidates to talk about the issues important to Ohio. We all have the same issues, and we’ve talked about them. But I don’t think there’s any coordinated effort to stick together. There are conversations. It gets hard to build any kind of alliance when, in a lot of our districts, certain candidates did really, really

8. That would be like asking whether a kid has to eat his ice cream cone

Or maybe more like a guy at a poker table choosing to use his $1000 chip as a toothpick instead of playing it on the table.

9. They officially vote at the convention but it makes sense for them to declare now
Of course, they are officially "unpledged" until the convention but every one of them has a choice and it's felt that now is the time to make that choice known.

11. Not sure, but No votes are final or required until the convention.

That is why we technically won't have a nominee until the convention.

Even if Hillary dropped out tomorrow.

13. By the same token
McCain is also not a nominee yet, but it's 100% that that's going to happen.

12. Thanks for all the responses
The reason I ask is that I wondered if there are some who are so loyal to Clinton that they would refuse to vote for Obama.
