Kick & Rec. if you think Harriet Christian needs to be made famous for racist comments
As someone noticed this morning Harriet Christian is getting airtime today but they are not playing her racist comments. Who is is with me, this lady needs to be made famous and we need to make sure she gets 2 million hits on YouTube. Please forward this video far and wide and please keep this thread kicked.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KACQuZVAE3s

Had an Obama supporter said something as offensive we know which clips would be getting heaving airtime.

protesting in Florida 2000. But it was probably just someone who resembles her. Not sure if this person was protesting for Gore or Bush from the pic. But I paused it several times because the similarity was striking (at least at 10:30 at night)

50. Not necessarily true.
If you can afford to live in Manhattan, as she claims to, you probably can.

Hell, I'd try hard to come up with $200 to support the Ron Paul convention mayhem, and, well, I can't afford to live in Manhattan.

58. A person so deluded and angry should be watched.
seriously. Becoming famous is bad enough for your normal person. WInning the lottery, saving a life, - all that stuff can change (badly) someone's life. Even worse is notoriety - as in Christian's case. The adverse PR, the press microscope, the calls from friends and family, the crush of all that attention - it can be deadly.

She is slightly off to start with. Being put in the spotlight with her mind set? she really needs family to keep an eye on her.

19. Oh, good lord. You are really in another world, aren't you?
We are all good Democrats and of course will vote for Obama in the GE. Hell, I'll probably volunteer for him the way I did for Ned Lamont in 06. I don't know a single supporter of Hillary back in the primary who wouldn't vote Democratic in this election. Not a single one. It would be unthinkable!

That is why you owe me and the others an apology.

23. No, I'm afraid I don't.
So long as you support Clinton, you also support her tactics. Clinton's tactics since super Tuesday have been nothing but poo-flinging. Am I really supposed to apologize to you for slapping all Clinton supporters, when by giving her that support, you are endorsing her campaign's attempt at the Michelle Obama "whitey" tape? The circus of Pastorgate? The insinuations that Obama is a Muslim at the same time he's a black supremacist Christian? The repeated statements from the Clinton campaign that whites and latinos will never vote for a black man? The endorsement of John McCain? To say nothing of the constant dismissal of the votes of everyone in every state that didn't flush for Clinton when tallying up popular and delegate votes?

All that's left for the Clinton campaign is to join McCain in calling Obama the Hamas presidential candidate, and calling voters with news that Obama has a black child.

These are the tactics of Hillary Clinton, the candidate you support. They are the underhanded tactics of a person who has realized she is incapable of winning on her own merit and instead relies on either winning by undermining the merit of her competitor, or having neither Democrat win and trying again in 2012.

Your continued support and funding for this is why I don't owe you squat for an apology. You might not be as batshit fuckballs crazy as some Clinton Supporters, but for all your platitudes of how you'll go for Obama in the GE, you're still doing your part to make sure that he'll get there as weak and disparaged as possible, to the detriment of our party as a whole. I said the same damn thing to those people who were squawking about putting Gore in the race after half the primaries had been held, i said the same to the goofies who were absolutely convinced Gravel wasn't done yet, and now I'm saying it to you. Put the kool-aid down, help support our nominee today and what the hell... try again in 2012.

After all, if Obama sucks as violently and majestically as every Clinton Supporter seems to think he does, Hillary will have no problem getting that nomination in '12.

28. My god, you are nuts! I have supported NONE of what you suggested!
Your allegations are outrageous. My husband, my daughter and I voted for Hillary on Super Tuesday, early Feb. I have not contributed to her campaign since then. Since the campaign was over in CT I did no campaign work for her AT ALL since then (I didn't even do anything before then). No one in my family has engaged in ANY kind of disparagement of Obama. I admire him and will gladly vote for him and work for him, just as I did for Ned Lamont in 06. You have no right to slander us in this fashion!

What the hell are you talking about? Do you have ANY idea of whom you are talking to? We are voters in Connecticut, for chrissakes! New Haven, to be specific, which is about as liberal as you can get, home of Yale for god's sake! My daughter lives in a suburb of Boston, another bastion of left of center politics.

You really need to get an education about New England voters before you spout off. My husband and I and my daughter have long planned to vote for Obama in the GE if he is the nominee. It would be totally unthinkable for us not to. We are lifelong Democrats.

Hell, yes, you owe us an apology! Stop posturing and admit you just don't have the facts about us.

As in, are you still seeking her nomination over the guy who's actually winning? You weren't exactly clear. If you do, then yeah, I'm afraid you're supporting the slime trail she leaves behind as well.

Forgive my bluntness, though. I'm afraid I'm bludgeoning you with my annoyance towards a large number of the pro-Hillary folks I've seen running around lately. Kinda tired of holding it all in in the face of the constant bullshit.

You made an incredibly stupid comment smearing many good Dems. Then you tried to smear someone who called you on it. That effort was met with a reasoned response which left you looking even worse, and now you try to justify it all with a clunking, awkward post full of meandering qualifiers to recycled insults. It's really been cringe-worthy.

You went down the wrong road and were rightly called on it. Just man up and apologise and move on.

I wonder if you said the same of the Lieberman supporters.

When I see a loony screaming that they'd rather vote for McCain instead of an "inadequate black man" - a sentiment I have seen way too often even here on DU - I'm not going to think "Gosh, what a good democrat!" As I mentioned to CTyankee in my previous post... I'm just fed up with the crazy shit from Hillary supporters. So yes, I am pretty much just swinging my club around at whatever faces are in that crowd.

69. Okay I can't stay out of this. You are being a real jerk!
I almost think your a GOP plant by the way you are being so unressonable. You must of missed the blog yesterday of there beign Clinton supporters and "supporters". It helped me to realize that not all the people who back Clinton believe in everything that she has been doing. Yes there are some crazy ones who will like the one in the video who are voting for Clinton out of hate and dispise over Obama (which has to be racist because I still haven't seen anyone list the things that Obama has done wrong) and there are the people that like Hillary for who she was in the beginning until the politics took over who are willing to vote for Obama. So let it be and stop putting everyone in the same classification. It's time to unify and get our party back together (this doesn't mean that i haven't been mad at everything but it is time to move on!)

61. She is NOT a typical Clinton supporter
She is one of the few hundred Clinton fanatics that showed up to disrupt the RBC meeting. There were millions of Democratic voters that voted for Hillary Clinton - some because of loyalty to the Clintons, some because she is a "name brand" politician, some because they believe her policy stances are better. You do a disservice to 45% of the Democratic party by saying that the typical Clinton supporter is like Harriet Christian.

And they did show the racist bits of her blowup, but I couldn't believe how softball the interview was - downright sympathetic. Even ended on a half-whispered, "thank you for joining us" as if to say, "You poor mistreated baby". She was not taken to task for racism and pretty much got the kid gloves "one of us" treatment rather than the crazy-ass nutjob treatment.
