I must confess, I voted for John McCain in the Primary
It was 2000 and McCain was running against Junior. I could not pass up the opportunity to be able to vote against Junior twice, once in the primary and again in the General Election.

I felt dirty but it felt good. You know that feeling....La Chingada.

1. And this is why MIchigan is so FUBAR, this type of thing.
Democrats that didn't think their voted was going to count anyway decided to vote in the Republican primary. People want to be involved, and that was their chance.

And the quickie, privately financed revote that the Hillary camp wanted to have would have disallowed these people.

2. A lot of Michigan Democrats voted for Romney
All the polls showed him losing badly to Obama or Clinton.

3. I agree and say that laws need to be changed.
The GOP has been sand bagging Democratic primaries because they can get away with it. The playing field needs to be leveled and limits placed on campaign expenditures.

There are too many good potential officeholders that won't get into the political fray because they don't have the financial resources to do so and won't compromise their values by accepting contributions from questionable sources or money that has strings attached.
