"There were other signs Monday that Clinton was moving to wrap up her historic race for the presidency. Staffers who have worked for her on he ground in the final primaries have been invited to attend Clinton's speech in New York Tuesday go home for further instructions."

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080602/ap_on_el_pr/clinton_2

"Hillary Rodham Clinton will give her post-primary speech in New York Tuesday night, a rare departure from the campaign trail."

http://briefingroom.thehill.com/2008/06/02/both-obama-and-clinton-to-be-in-nyc-wednesday/

"Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama will both be in New York City Wednesday, one day after the last two primaries.

Clinton will be in Gotham starting Tuesday night, when she plans to give a speech after the results of the South Dakota and Montana contests, her campaign said. Obama, who plans to be in Minneapolis on Tuesday, will be in New York City on Wednesday for a Democratic National Committee event, his foreign policy adviser, Greg Craig, told MSNBC."

NOTHING to do with a VP spot.

32. No need to get steamed
If the super dupers lean Obama then prepare yourself for Vice President Hillary. It has a smooth
sound to it but President Hillary Clinton feels so much warmer and wiser.

31. ironic
By vilifying the Clintons incessantly on this and other boards, Obama supporters have virtually forced Obama to offer her the VP spot; otherwise, there's no way to unify the party. It's ironic.

53. seriously
You don't seriously believe that Team Obama never approved of the vilification of the Clintons via internet forums? That's been the centerpiece of his campaign, and has enabled him to 'take the high road' by not personally saying negative things himself. Only thing is, it doesn't exactly unify the party after the primary.

26. I think she is going to threaten to blow a hole in the ozone layer
if the DNC doesn't give her 20 Million dollars, and the nomination.
She is going to take herself and all her tight nit supporters
to an underground hiden bunker, while she awaits the DNC decision.

her demands will include
paying off her debt
becoming POTUS, and skipping the GE as well
Any proof that exist that she didn't win the popular vote will be striken from the record
She will also summon Superman to her to kneal before her and kiss her ring
oh and
a pony for Chelsea

24. Bad strategy to have her in his administrtion. She simply is not trustworthy....
She will do anything to get what she wants. Giving her a position in her administration would be giving her a leg up to bring down Obama's administration.

GIving Hillary a place in his administration makes as much sense as giving John McCain a place in his administration. In fact, I'd trust McCain standing behind Obama more than I would Hillary.

Edited on Mon Jun-02-08 06:50 PM by swampg8r
primary season that is fitting to have her be VP
i do feel she is qualified to lead on some issues
sec of health comes to mind
that would give her influence on the healthcare reformation
and is an important issue for her
she has a very good reputation on the world stage so i would not argue againt her as perhaps UN sec or sec of state
really VP is a dead end job without much success as a resume builder
but the other many options in an administration offer more chances to effect the changes tht w all in one way or another hope to see

edited for double negative

9. the AIPAC conference is on Wednesday, right? Where is it?
Yesterday, Chuck Todd said that Hillary might be in NYC Tuesday night (which is now confirmed), and Obama was actually going to be in NYC on Wednesday morning, but Clinton aides say that she will be out of there by then. Lol, this is starting to get ridiculous. Is this new info/what is the source?

Edited on Mon Jun-02-08 02:51 PM by lisa58
...and will go to DC Tuesday evening.

I'll see if I can find a link.

Here it is:

With the future of her campaign in doubt, Clinton hasn't announced her plans for the final election night of the primary cycle or beyond, but the aides said she would stage her election night event in New York City. Her entourage is currently expected to wake up Tuesday in New York and to arrive in Washington, D.C. Tuesday night.

23. I think the Hill might be wrong about this (well, maybe not technically)
I am pretty sure that Obama's NYC event is before his DC event that Hillary will also be at, and Clinton aides told Chuck Todd that Hillary would be out of NYC by Wednesday morning. I think that if there were some sort of unity event, it would be much later in the week than on a Wednesday morning (though in my wildest dreams, Hillary and Obama team up on Wednesday and open up the biggest can of wup ass on McCain after his ridiculous show today in DC)
