OK, it's time I admitted it
I support Obama and I've never had a latte.

I promise, calories be damned, that if and when he is the official democratic nominee for POTUS, I will go out and buy one and drink it. Question: Does it have to be from Starbucks?

8. You don't have to drink lattes
It doesn't have to come from Starbucks. In fact, the elite position would be to find a locally-owned barista, and order a yummy iced mocha on a hot day!

13. I tried really hard to find a local coffee place today
I'm in DC for the summer and don't know the area very well. I had the address for a local coffee shop and walked to where I thought it was. Unfortunately I couldn't find it. I saw a Starbucks across the street and gave in (there's one on every fucking corner in this city). But the elitist in me knows that their coffee isn't very good. I got a frappuccino because you can barely taste the coffee.

20. It's really annoying -- they are hard to find
I guess it is just impossible to compete.

I'm lucky, I have a hubby who is an excellent barista. If you make it down to Tallahassee, I'll have him make you one.

:donut: :donut: :donut:

We'll substitute a bagel for the donut . . .

10. Definitely not!!!
Starbuck's latte's are very dependable products, but they are not the best of breed. Unfortunately, I can only give you a better recommendation for a location in Jackson Hole, WY, and that's a long way to go from almost anywhere to get some strong coffee and steamed milk :-).

14. I'd advise getting it from your local independent coffee shop!
signed, someone who dislikes Starbuck's coffee.

Or get it from a Peets, or something...

I actually know a few elitists, and they would never, NEVER go to the evil Starbucks! :-) They only go to the local independent shops, of which I count, like, one. Guess they can afford the gas? ;-)

27. Rule 24.c1. Lattes can be purchased and consumed from a non Starbucks outlet if you travel to the
alternate outlet in a prius with atleast two other latte purchasers at the same time, do not use any plastic bags the day of the purchase, engage in a friendly salutation to people passing by to 'fire them up' (bonus points for each language used in the day may carry over to future latte exception purchases), and upon returning home fix a healthy salad for your child/turn off the TV and spend an hour in quality reading time*.

(*If no child is resident or avialable in the domicile you must force entrance in the nearest domicile turn off their TV and spend the time with that child).
